Victory Beef and Grain
Angus beef, mixed grass hay, oats, corn, soybeans and various small grains.
I have cows going to the butcher 3/17, let me know if you’d like to be on the list.
Hers some basic info:
1/4 of a cow weighs approx 200 pounds, therefore 1/2 would be about 400 pounds. After slaughter I get the actual weight you pay us 3.25 a pound x your weight.
Processing is completed at
Silvis & Son Meat processing
567 state route 1037
Dayton pa 16222
Upon pick up you pay the butcher 85 cents a pound plus your portion of slaughter. Total cost for the whole cow is $100. So if you get 1/4 it’s $25, 1/2 would be $50.
Quarters are mixed front and back so you get cuts from both, steaks, roasts and burger. All their food is raised right here.
We are livestock people- you don't have to understand us...We know that all external medicine is either waterproof, blue or yellow. We have no problem eating a sandwich directly after mucking stalls. We know why a thermometer has to have a string attached to the end. We are not welcome in laundromats. We can lower our voice instantly by 5 octaves to shout at the dog who has decided to stalk god only knows what. We would sooner quit a relationship than our hobby. We talk to our car to make it up the hill. We have better insurance for our ranch and animals than for our car. We know more about our show animal's diet than our own. We buy grain and hay before buying our own food. Its common to see us wearing barn clothes in public. And we know that mucking a stable is the best cure for depression. We get along better with most animals than most people. We are quick to lend a hand in a crisis. A new truck is a luxury car. More written words are scribbled in the dirt than on paper. We will always make time for a friend. A hand shake is our bond.
