I started painting cats after my beloved cat, Won Mi, died of cancer. I will never forget how Won Mi’s eyes met mine just before she passed away, leaving me heart-broken. Since losing Won Mi, I’ve been using oil paintings to express my love for cats and dogs on canvas. Given my final memory of Won Mi, my painting style concentrates on the eyes – I believe they’re the window to the soul – it’s also
what sets my paintings apart. Beyond more realistic, they aim to show each animal’s different personality. Thinking of getting a portrait of your pet? If you’re thinking of getting a portrait of your pet, simply email your request to: [email protected]. Initially, I’ll need your contact details – including a phone number, the size of portrait required and some information about your pet. I’ll then get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a couple more photos of your pet (or pets), ensuring I have the right images to work from. Ideally, the photos will be clear and close up with as much face detail as possible to ensure a great portrait. The portrait size and price will then be confirmed by phone and email. If you decide to proceed, all I ask for is a 40% deposit to commence the painting. Where possible, it’d be great to meet your pet to get to know his or her personality, but of course this is not essential. When your portrait is complete (within 2 to 4 months), a photo of the portrait will be emailed to you for approval. The approval stage is so important as I want you to love the portrait and feel that it captures the essence of your pet’s personality. Once approved and the balance paid, your portrait will be sent straight to you to enjoy. Cost (excludes postage*):
