As we learn more about inner child healing, it is important to understand the steps necessary to begin our journey. I’ve written a book highlighting the steps neccesary to start your healing journey. Each activity within the book was designed to help you acknowledge your childhood trauma and discover ways to heal your wounds. “Meditating is boring. I don’t have time to meditate. Meditating makes me feel weird. I don’t relate to the instructor or other people in the classes. Meditating, mindfulness practices, or seeking counseling to heal means I’m weak.” These are all common excuses I’ve heard about counseling and mindfulness practices. While many people are in dire need of mental health services, such as talk therapy, there is a stigma in our community that forces us to stray away from both counseling and any mindfulness practices that may seem foreign to us.
When I started my counseling practice, I realized I wanted to play a part in changing this narrative by providing the type of therapeutic healing experiences I wish I had been exposed to as a young adult.
This prompted me to create an innovative healing experience which combines both music and pop culture. “The Spiritual Gangsta - Trapsoul” is a hip-hop and R&B Meditation/Affirmations Experience that was created to motivate, inspire, and empower listeners to get in the right mindset for healing.”
It would mean the world to me if you gave it a listen and possibly shared it with your friends!!!

Finding a counselor can be extremely difficult, and I can admit that even as a counselor myself. For many people, they have issues finding a professional in their local area. For others, it’s difficult to find a counselor who accepts their insurance. However, when it comes to members of particular communities, specifically the Black community, finding a counselor who looks like you, can relate to you, and are cognizant of issues such as racial trauma and discrimination (which can create mental and emotional distress) can be a challenge within itself.
According to data from a survey conducted by the American Psychological Association (APA), about 83% of mental health counselors are white and only 3% are Black, resulting in the black community being underrepresented, under-treated, and often overlooked when it comes to mental health services.
I’m honored to help shift this dynamic by announcing the opening of my private holistic counseling practice Inner “G” Holistic Healing.
Using the power of spiritual psychology, Inner “G” Holistic Healing is here to offer professional, person-centered, transpersonal, and highly effective counseling, spiritual life coaching, trauma-informed therapeutic art coaching, and innovative mindfulness experiences.
My calling is to be of service to those in need of healing.
