You get what you give! 🤝

After yesterday’s torrential rain and my new pandemic-led home-body life (I was a massive out and about extrovert before 2020) I contemplated not making the drive out to LA for this event.

Thank God, I powered through the lazy self-talk and came. Meeting so many incredible female founders that are inspiring me to be transparent about how hard entrepreneurship can be.

Struggle and loneliness are after all, the rule of entrepreneurship…not the exception.

At the end of the day, the alternative won’t make us as happy or as challenged as fighting to do something that we love…even more so if what you love is tied with trying to make an impact.

Even on the roughest of days, I’ll keep fighting for clean ingredients and transparency in the beauty industry while trying to bring you clean, rad products from brands I believe in.

And soon…my own brand. Working hard to get it launched asap.

There have been times in my life when I wondered what it would be like to be the opposite s*x.

On more than one trip, I was terrified of what could happen to me when I entered a situation as a lone female traveler.

Would life have been easier when it came to health, business, being a boss and leader, relationships…?

Maybe…. Maybe not.

Wherever my mind goes, I am thankful to be a woman.

👉🏼I am thankful for the wonderful women in my life.
👉🏼I am thankful for all my life experiences.

One of the sh*ttiest results of my autoimmune disease has been hair loss. The pain, fatigue and foggy brain isn’t that great either but the inability to wear my hair back without two glaring holes in my recession area made me feel old.

I’ve worked hard to get the symptoms under control and thanks to detoxing my diet and personal care products (only choosing clean ingredients) things have definitely improved by a ton. 👍🏽Using JuliArt has been the game changer

Last week, my conscious hair company North Authentic, released a blog about the autoimmune diseases that cause hair loss, dry hair or hair brittleness.

If you’re experiencing weird symptoms and your hair is not acting like itself check in with an endocrine specialist or an internal medicine doctor. A lot of autoimmune diseases go undiagnosed and there are things you can do to improve those symptoms and even turn it all around.

Stylists- it’s great for you to recognize changes in your clients’ hair and recommend that they see a doctor when you see major changes bc something is up.

I can’t tell you how many clients of mine are forever thankful I spoke up because they were able to catch things early.

This month in Cosmo magazine, they’re asking if you really need bond-building Haircare and the answer is 1000% yes!

Each strand of hair is made up of bonds that are responsible for your hair’s shape, strength, ability to hold color, and shine. When you highlight, color or otherwise chemically process your hair or even apply heat — those bonds break. Hair issues from breakage to frizz split ends can be a direct result of those broken bonds.

Bond- building products are just that. They build bonds. I think of them as couples counseling. It gets those couples back together because you always go farther with others.

Consciously Kickass Hair 💁🏼‍♀️] ‘s bond building go-to is Olaplex 0 and 3. If you’ve used 3, just apply No. 0 about 15 minutes before you apply your No. 3 and it will amplify the results.

Remember to do these treatments at least once per week. Up to 3 times if your hair is experiencing major damage.

Couple it with a once a week moisture hair mask because damaged hair also lacks hydration. One of my favs is Innersense Hydration Mask.

An Iranian Revolution is taking place sparked by the death of a 22-year-old, Mahsa Amini while in Custody because of not wearing hijab properly, and was beaten to death by the so-called “Morality Police”.

Since it started nearly 15,000 Iranians have been arrested and several hundred killed in just two months due to protesting for women’s freedom.

We are now facing a huge humanitarian crisis — in early November, a law was passed to implement the death penalty for any protesters/supporters.

Now, thousands of people will be on public trials in the coming weeks. It is expected that the trials will be shams based on fabricated evidence and false confessions made under torture. Now the Islamic Regime has issued the DEATH PENALTY for multiple protestors.

Insane that Iran sits on the United Nations woman's rights committee.
