I create unique handmade jewelry using various crystal stones and copper through a process called electroforming. Most of the pieces I create are using stones I purchase that had a good energy produced. Nothing in my store has been mass produced. Everything I make is handmade and with that come some variations and is also creates the one of a kind pieces. I am an analyst by day but have the passio
n for creating these beautiful pieces. My analytical and perfectionist mind (some would say OCD) drives me to spend time on each piece making it "perfect" in its own way. The process to make each piece takes time and dedication. The process begins by sizing the ring shank using a ring sizing mandrel and a rawhide mallet. After the ring shank is sized and shaped into a ring form; the stone is attached to the ring shank by molding, smoothing, and forming around the stone and shank. After the initially formed ring sets for 24 hours; I then file and sand the initial shape of the ring to ensure the electroforming process gives a smooth coat of copper. The entire ring then goes through the electroforming process where the copper is formed around the natural shape of the stone. Once a thick layer of copper is achieved; the ring is then filed, sanded, smoothed, and given a dark patina. Finally, the ring is sealed with a jeweler's Renaissance Wax. To ensure the stone's energy is not disrupted during the process, it is cleansed at the beginning of the process and again at the end using a selenite tower to purify.
