Lucas County Scout BSA Troop 149

Last night Lucas County Scout BSA Troop 149 retired 4 boxes of flags 🇺🇲 if you have a flag that needs retired we have a drop box at the Legion Hall you can put them in. We retired them a few times a year.

The boys got a little canoe time in today! It was a warm one but they were about to get 2 hours in!

A bit late, but... Wednesday was Family Night at Camp Mitigwa. Here are a few pictures taken in camp.

We had 4 scouts and 3 leaders spend the week at Camp Mitigwa. The scouts earned a total of 15 merit badges, the troop/individuals were awarded 9 awards during final camp fire and our 2 newest scouts will be able to advance a couple of ranks from attending Eagle Academy. Here are some photos of camp - videos will be posted separately.

Yesterday Troop 149 helped serve root beer floats at the car show!

This evening Troop 149 performed a flag retirement ceremony during the flag day presentation at the Lucas County Veterans Memorial Park 🇺🇲

We had a couple of Lion Cubs go to Camp Akela this week! They had fun and learned some great scout skills!

4th of July is coming up fast. Our Troop is very small right now - 6 boys. If any past scouters/scout supporters would like to help out in the food tent - we could really use it! July 3 afternoon/evening, July 4 all day - exact times tbd. Please reach out to Nicole or message us here!

Yesterday at Pack 149s blue and gold banquet we held a Crossover Ceremony for 1 Arrow of Light scout. Congratulations Damon and welcome to the Troop ⚜️

Today the Troop bowled in Corydon before spending a few hours at the Chariton Cemetery working on a service project!

Last week for popcorn sales! Get out there and support these scouts!

CubScouts will be set up at Carpenter's Hall today for drive-thu popcorn sales! Stop by and see them! Cash and card accepted!

Last night we held a Court of Honor. These boys have been busy the past several months - 33 merit badges & 2 rank badges were awarded during the ceremony! Way to go boys!

We've had this canoe day planned for weeks, the rain shortened our plans and the fish weren't biting 🎣 but the boys were able to paddle around for an hour 🛶

We're looking for some new members. Ages 11-17 are welcome to join our Troop! There are so many opportunities in scouting to find what fits you best with 135 merit badges! Come find your adventure!
