So glad to seen some friendly faces from previous years and it was awesome to chat with some new ones as well. There was a great selection from seeds and veggies to beautiful perennials exchanged. Feel free to comment /share pictures of your beautiful new perennials with us when they are in their new homes.

We're excited to announce a plant exchange event happening this Sunday May 28th from 1pm. This event will be held at the Cold Lake Community Garden and is open to anyone who wants to participate.
Here's how it works: bring a plant or two (or more!) that you're willing to exchange with others or just your gardening experience to share with others . You’ll get a chance to meet other plant enthusiasts, local gardeners ,chat about your favorite plant care tips, and go home with some new greenery to add to your collection.

How would your school, community group or church like some free flower seeds and compost? The City and Cold Lake Communities in Bloom have teamed up again this year to celebrate by giving away seeds and compost. Deadline to register your group, school or church is MAY 8, so act soon.

CIB excited to announce the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).The AGM will be held on March 28, 6:30 pm at Board Room Energy Centre and is open to all members of the community who are interested in participating.
During the meeting , we will review the progress of CIB over the past year, discuss any challenges we may have faced, and Plan for upcoming year.
We will also be discussing our budget for this year, this is an important part of the AGM, as it allows us to plan for the resources we will need to continue our efforts to make our community a beautiful and welcoming place to live.
We encourage all members of our community to attend the AGM. It is a great opportunity to connect with other members, share your ideas and suggestions, and help shape the future of our community.

Were a bit slow on the new here, still hibernate 💤🐝
The kids had a blast at the ice rink other day. The CIB mascot was there to join in the fun together with others , despite the cold weather outside. Everyone was excited to see the mascots and it was a truly happy and exciting experience!
Monday was such a great opportunity, fun time for Cold Lake CIB committees to observe and admire all of your beautiful garden and yard works. Words cannot express how much we are appreciated and grateful for your dedication, your pride to create such a beauty in the neighborhood, the community and our City of Cold Lake. The Perennial exchange at Cold Lake Community garden turned out great this morning, weather is beautiful, Kids enjoy little game searching for painted rocks, The vibes in the community garden was absolutely awesome❤️

Despite rainy weather today, dedicated City’s waste management staffs team up with CIBee to delivery compost and seeds to school and community groups in the National public works week event /Seed of Hope.

Celebrate World Bee Day with our Bee-Awareness Kit, available for pick-up on Thursday, May 19. Each kit contains information on the honeybee, a craft, and some activities to do at home to support the bees.
There are a limited number of kits, so please register ahead for your family kit by calling 780-594-4495.

Compost Days starts this weekend! From May 9-June 30, Cold Lake residents can pick up FREE compost material from the Regional Waste Transfer Station. Limit of 5 bags or 100 kg. per household. Make sure to bring your shovel and bags/containers. Learn more at https://coldlake.com/content/compost-days-2021. The Waste Transfer Station is open Tuesday - Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays from 2-6 p.m.
