Diamond Youth Volleyball

Wow! What a great season! All our players worked so hard and improved on so much this season! All of us coaches are extremely proud of them! 💛 Here are a few highlights from our DYV 2023 season...

⚫️ This season we started the year with getting to be in the Gem City Days parade for the first time!
⚪️ Our players got recognized at Youth Night during a High School volleyball game.
🟡 For the first time ever, we hosted BOTH the 3/4 and 5/6 League Tournaments! This tournament started at 8am and did not end until 8pm. It made for such a long day but we pulled it off! A HUGE shout out to all of our volunteers!! We couldn't have done it without you all!! ❤️ Thank you to some of our HS volleyball players that reffed for us! They did a great job! Thank you Project Grad 2024 for running our concessions! Thank you Diamond Booster Club for helping keep our concession full with supplies!
🟢 Lastly, we ended the season with a glow party!! It was so much fun!!

Again, thank you parents for allowing your girls to be a part of this program! We have absolutely enjoyed the last couple months. We hope to see all you 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders again next year! 6th graders, we sure are going to miss you! We hope you enjoy Jr. High volleyball and continue to make us proud! 🏐

Lastly, a big shout out to all my fellow board members! I couldn't have survived this season without your guy's help! Especially our secretary, Mysti Taylor! We sure are going to miss her! Mysti, thank you for all your organization with this league. Also, for dealing with my millions of texts running ideas and thoughts by you. 😅

Also attached is the entire leagues schedule in case anyone wants to see who plays with us some Saturdays. You can also find addresses for gymnasiums on there.

3/4 parent meeting is tomorrow (8/29)

Wanted to send out a few notes and remind of the upcoming parent meetings at the beginning of next week:

🌟 Volleyball signups are complete and we are so excited for this season 🙌🏼🙌🏼

🌟 Parent meetings are:
5/6 - Monday @ 6pm
3/4 - Tuesday @ 6pm

🌟 First game of the season will be Saturday 9/9 @ HOME, game times and line ups are TBD

🌟 All games and tourney will be held on Saturday mornings, some may last into the afternoon.

🌟 Regular season is 6 weeks, 3 home & 3 away.

🌟 League tournament is on the 7th Saturday (should be 10/21).

🌟 Don’t forget knee pads!! These are so important to protect our girls!

Please see below for important info and dates:

✨ Summer open gyms are done, regular season practices will begin the first week of school.

✨ 3rd/4th grade girls will practice on Tuesdays & Fridays - first practice is Tuesday, August 22nd.

✨ 5th/6th grade girls will practice Mondays & Thursdays -first practice is Monday, August 21st.

Hello parents!!

Wanted to advise on some 🏐 camps that MSSU puts on for the youth. We had several girls attend last year and they learned so much!

These are day camps, usually 4-6 hours. Currently only available for 4th, 5th & 6th graders.

Please see the camps/dates listed in the picture. We will post details/reminders as dates get closer, but wanted to get them on everyone’s radar!

Our last set of home games are this Saturday! Which means we need volunteers for a last time. Please sign up to work a shift. We appreciate everyone's help to make home games happen! 🏐💛

The HS Volleyball team has invited DYV to participate in their Gold Out event in support of 💛 We have purchased shirts for all players to wear to the Gold Out event. The girls will also be recognized for their hard work this season in between JV and Varsity so please have your players to the HS Commons by 6pm on Thursday 9/29. JV starts at 5:30 and we encourage you to come early to watch and support them as well. The players will have free admission with their shirts parents are $4 I believe.

💛If you’d like to purchase a shirt also they are available through Sideline and the link is on our FB page. All proceeds are going directly to the family.

🏐 5/6 girls are encouraged to sit as a team after youth introductions and cheer on the Varsity team.
🏐3/4 girls your coaches will be getting with you about your practice since that is your usual practice time.

Practice schedules for the season. (Please read all the notes parent meeting has changed for some)
🏐Please note on nights your team is in the FEMA practice is 6:30-8 due to gym availability
🏐3/4 will be practicing Mon/Thur all together but will have two teams on game day (those will be sent out shortly)
🏐5/6 will be practicing Tue/Fri all together but will have two teams on game day (those will be sent out shortly)
🏐All practices this upcoming week will be at 6 on your respective days in the MS gym
🏐Parent meeting will be at the beginning of the first practice this week for each grade level. So 3/4 will be the 29th at 6 and 5/6 will be the 30th at 6
