Families Learning Together (FLT) is a community education project that teaches computational thinking through art, storytelling, and citizen science.

We offer coding workshops (we call them playshops!) and maker clubs at San Marcos elementary schools, the Scratch in San Marcos, TX, is a community coding project started by Dr. Sean Justice of Texas State University, San Marcos. Join us for storytelling and artmaking with Scratch. Playshops and community events will be held at the San Marcos Public Library for kids, teens, and families. See the events listings below. All events are free to the San Marcos community.

Scratch Maker Sundays at Centro starts this Sunday on February 13th, from 2:00-4:00pm, and we are celebrating Valentine's Day! Join us as we come together to play through scratch and learn physical computing tools like MakeyMakey. These playshops are free and open to all, specifically designed for families with children 5 and up. We hope to see you there!

We are so glad to be bringing FLT back and are excited for our free playshops with Marcos Public Library every Monday from 6:30-8:00pm. We will be learning about coding through Scratch, MakeyMakey, and playing with the whole family. Stay tuned for more updates about upcoming playshops and we hope to see you there!"
