My left leg was fine, but my right knee would lift up trying to give my foot enough clearance from the floor......"

Candee suffered a when she was just 7yrs old which left her with and described the Turbomed Xtern AFO as "Fantastic'" saying it eliminated her foot drop, made her leg less heavy and easier to lift.
Candee described the service and the staff/clinicians providing it as "very warm and welcoming."
Steve Seccombe - General Manager and David Bownes - Product Specialist Blatchford who attended on the day said:
"The original Xtern Brace is a fantastic brace for clients with foot drop and the new model was invented to bridge the gap. The Summit is lighter, stronger and more supportive"

Following on from here are clips from the Foot Drop clinic we held with the guys from Blatchford.
Client David who has foot drop caused by his Multiple Sclerosis making him fall frequently, was in the clinic and he tried two options that were available to manage his foot drop.
In the first video David is shown firstly with just his walker showing his foot drop making his leg swing out to the side and then shown with the Bioness FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) system.
David found the FES system triggered the stimulated muscles which enabled his foot to lift and therefore walk a lot easier.
