Taught a bunch of middle schoolers how to "Swag Surf" last night at their sneaker ball.
For many of them, it was their first school dance❤️. The Community Liason, Ms. Dennis and the school's Vice Principal, Ms. Jackson were no strangers to the swag surf (they were in the front row). Watch how the principal, Mrs. Freistat, stops documenting the moment and catches the vibe at the end (she's in the pink dress )!

It is so humbling to have inquiries coming in almost daily. 10 years ago, DJ Kay started off as what I thought was a pipe dream. I was just doing it for fun and because I loved music and entertaining...hoping to make a few dollars here and there as well. Very few people knew how poorly I was doing financially at the time.
The rainy weather has had a large impact on my outdoor gigs this year. Lots of cancelations and raindates that I can't make up because I'm already booked elsewhere. However, it seems like for every cancelation, I get a new inquiry or booking. 10 years later, I have more offers than my schedule will allow. I wish I could do them all!
Sure, I have handed out hundreds of business cards but, I would be NOTHING without word-of-mouth. That's all thanks to you guys singing my praises and tagging me at every opportunity.
