Creative Coffee San Francisco hosted a panel dedicated to crowdfunding in the IoT space (Internet of Things).
Startups talked about their experience with on Kickstarter and Indiegogo.
We invited three successful crowdfunded Internet of Things (IoT) companies to understand how they exceeded their crowdfunding goals and got market validation!
The founders of Luna Sleep, emberlight and LUMO shared their best practices for running a crowdfunding campaign, and walked us through their biggest challenges, as well as showcased their winning strategies that led them to success!

We were happy to host our Tech Talk @ Highway 1.
Founded in June 2013 by PCH, Highway 1 is a accelerator program for hardware startups. The goal of the program is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, with the vision of mentoring and assisting hardware makers to build first-class companies. Highway 1 has worked with 45 companies from over 14 different countries helping them go from proof-of-concept prototype to fundable prototype.

Creativity…. The skill of the future…
Creativity is something that many look beyond and don’t even think of as something of importance in the world of business, or in the nature of the success you build for yourself. Creativity is one of the greatest qualities any of us can be blessed with, yet many never allow their true creativity to be expressed.
In today’s business world the only way to separate yourself from the rest is not with your fancy resume that you printed at Kinkos, or your GPA that you basically overdosed on Adderall in order to attain. It is how well you can think for yourself and actually use your creativity that separates you from everyone else.
When most people out there see a problem, they just complain about it instead of trying to resolve it because they never had to use their creativity to problem shoot before. But a creative person is loves to solve problems and come up with new ideas that address issues.
We live in a world that is constantly becoming innovated with new concepts, ideas and technology. Having the creativity to help innovate something that has never been created before - anything from a product to a piece of art - is all based on where your mind wants to take you. But so many never even allow their mind to journey out of their cubicle, but instead get stuck in that cubicle for the rest of their lives.
The first step to awakening your creativity – is understanding what creativity really is and how simple it is.
