Absolutely love being a tourist in this town, slowly making up for all the times selling ice cream there 🤣

But how's this transition of P!nk concert attire over the years.
From my selfie wearing my concert outfit at 15 in 2007 when cellphone selfies were s**t so I resorted to the good old We**am, brace face, and all.
To living the dream with one of my besties in 2018 who supported my love for Pink and her music through the years, rocking the short hair and my mums jeans I cut into shorts (yes in my 20s i was still stealing her clothes 🫣she found out about these a while later 🤣).
Too 2024, two Mummas getting a night out in Auckland up and close and seeing the first female headline Eden Park on International Womens day ✌️
I'm not sure if 2018 or 2024 is more of a glow up, but how good to have concert pics to compare for the memory bank 💗

Honestly, this place is beyond magical ✨️

SEWING TIME 💛

It's been a hot minute (or loooong few months) since I got behind the machine.
And boy, does it feel good creating again.

Finally, made some scrunchines for the first time ever and...
A wee sneak peak of the first dress I'm creating ✨️ fabric chosen specially by Miss S. 💛

FOUR years ago today, we brought this girlie home from the hospital 💜
After 28 days in SCBU for her and an entire month in hospital for me. The day that felt like it would never come happened. She passed all her checks and the car seat test (yes, this is an actual thing 😅 they must keep stable stats sitting in a car seat for half an hour), and we were able to bring her home 🏡
I'll never forget the feeling after the biggest emotional rollercoaster of my life, the feeling of woah these nurses trust me with my baby 🤦🏼‍♀️, the how am I going to get through this at home? The pumping, the bottle top ups, and breastfeeding, all without the nurses' help. While I was excited to come home, I was so bloody scared.
But, guess what?! We made it! 💜
Life may only just be starting to feel somewhat normal again 4 years on, but we did it. We're here and stronger than ever.

We had the most beautiful day out at the beach and at the lavender farm. It couldn't have been more fitting, with purple being the prematurity awareness colour 💜

And seriously, how has it been FOUR years?

But, seriously though.
Life doesn't get much better than fields of Sunflowers 🌻
Most stunning location ever at . What better way to spend the day out in the sunshine surrounded by nature 💛

Side note; can we just take a moment for how this dress was literally made for my tattoo 😍

House Plants 💚

But, how good is it really having some greenery around the home? The benefits of having indoor plants certainly make them worthwhile, cleaner air for us to breathe and a sense of grounding indoors. I always feel so calm and motivated while journaling next to my plant babies 🩷

Hey 👋 I'm Nicola, known to most as Nikki.

I am 30 years young, almost 31.
Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with Marine life, with a special love for NZ fur seals and Hectors Dolphins. In which I pursued this passion and gained a degree in Marine Biology (along with many other qualifications).

Fitness and wellness are another passion of mine. I grew up swimming but living in a town with no pool open in winter. I discovered a newfound love for running in 2018, and after 4 years off, I am now hooked yet again. The mental challenge of running is amazing, and I adore the places running has taken me and the people I have met along the way 💖

My love for wellness brought about the NZ Planner, which I designed as a tool to help keep myself on track and hold myself accountable while enabling me to become my highest self.

Over the last few years, I tapped into my creative side even more and learned to sew, finding a love for creating dolls clothes, girls clothes, and my next mission is dresses for myself. 🩵

Last but not least, I am Dog Mum to an 8 month old Fox Red Labrador. And Mumma to the most kind and caring little girl with a heart of gold, that also inherited the sass and determination of her mother. 💖
