Dropping in on this to lay some knowledge on you!
Have you been trying to lose weight with no success? You’re working out and eating all the “healthy” foods you’re told are good for you, yet you’re still sitting at the same weight/measuments.
Well.....
Did you know that your typical low-fat yogurt has THE SAME AMOUNT OF SUGAR as an 8oz bottle of Coca-Cola! 😱
Yes, shocking, I know!
Be very aware of what you are putting in your bodies. A lot of groceries now are being marketed as “healthy” because they are “low fat” or have “added fiber” yet are LOADED with sugars and carbohydrates.
What a joke! Rule of thumb is to stick to the outer isles of the grocery stores and don’t forget to always read the back of the labels!
Needed a side to go with my left over baked chicken, so I whipped up a Low Carb Broccoli salad.
Who needs this recipe in their life!? 🤤

Wellness Tip 2-13- Listen to your Body!
Sometimes working out is just not in the cards!!
I’ve used it as a way to help manage my anxiety for almost a year now and it has worked wonders! But, what happens when what is helping you actually starts to harm you!?!

A little for you health junkies!
Wake up in a bad mood? Have an upcoming stressor that won’t stop nagging at your brain?
Although it may feel like the last thing you want to do, working out is ACTUALLY the best thing TO DO!
While it has long been known that working out immediately elevates your post-exercise mood, we now know that your mood is improved via rapid changes in an area of the brain called the dentate gyrus, which is integrally involved in managing stress and depression.
When you exercise, brain chemicals called endorphins get released and interact with brain receptors that reduce your perception of pain. These chemicals are thought to be related to feelings of euphoria during exercise often referred to as a "runner’s high" that can lead to a positive outlook and greater energy levels.
Movement is nature’s medicine! So take that spin class, lift weights, or dance around your house while you clean! Get your body moving and those endorphins pumping, I promise you will see a SHIFT in how your days unfold.
It’s and your girl is all about food! I would go as far as to call myself a mindful foodie even! Seriously... FOOD. IS. LIFE. 🤤
Naturally, I love to pull out all the stops food wise when the occasion presents itself. So with Valentine’s Day around the corner I thought I’d share a delicious guilt-free desert recipe you and hubby can enjoy together without busting the waistline!

Mindfulness is a way of being with yourself, and perceiving the world around you. It's not something you start doing overnight but more of something you train yourself in and overtime master.
I’ve been practicing a few different mindset techniques that are said to help live life more peacefully and with greater balance and I’ve noticed a huge shift in my life.
This I wanna share with you one of the techniques that I’ve adopted to help me on my most anxious days. This technique is what I like to call, "Living in the moment," or if you want to be technical you can call it, Present Moment Awareness.
Sometimes our thoughts work against us. I notice for me my anxieties creep in mostly when my mind is “not busy” allowing it to easily shift into....
