Today I am striving to make choices for me, by me, and because it’s what I choose.
Reacting is the easiest thing we do as humans. BUT ask yourself, if not reacting, are you able to make a choice, move towards or away, accept or say NO to something that does or doesn’t not serve you (and your family)?

That’s the age of a new class member we gained today. 😍👏🏼 It is also very close the age where I saw my grandpas health begin to slowly decline.
Today I left my class nearly in tears of pure joy! Not for me but for this man who has been afraid of trying my class for weeks. Others have suggested talking to me many times. And so he would come chat and ask questions but never commit… then today he did!
He was was the first one in attendance 🤩 He took my advice when to use DBs and when not to. We even improved his floor/supine position as he struggles to relax his head and shoulders. We simply placed a foam roller under the curve of his neck and BAM his leg raises improved along with other floor based movements. Retargeting the core and hips as intended.
Listen🙏🏼 he even trusted me to guide him thru modifying a burpee. Something he has avoided for over a year after his last adventure left him hurting, afraid and stumbling across the whole class room trying to find his footing.
My heart ached for his past stories of struggle and pain… but swelled with his joy of accomplishing something he had been fearful of… moving through one of my 60 minute P90X classes. 👏🏼🥰👏🏼🥰
We are all proud of each pivot you made today Byron! Many blessings! Can’t wait to see you in class next week.
Doing a little protein challenge with my fit focused friends. We are exploring the concept of Macro counting: with a hyper focus of PROTEIN. This first week we are not measuring anything, just taking note of the items we consume that is protein.

It’s okay to get scared of change. We made it for 2 years w/o catching the rona… and guess what?!? Someone in our house got sick and we all had to quarantine the week of my 35th birthday. That’s NOT how anyone in my house wanted to spend celebrating my birth orrr kicking off holiday parties.
Our son missed wrestling matches and our daughter missed her winter dance recital. I even skipped working out a couple days at first… out of fear, angry, and the change in routine. It had been so long since I’d worked out on my own, like REALLY worked out in our home gym. We have the space, the equipment (and I’m always adding more) and we have the online subscription for 2 different At Home workouts. Not to mention the infinite amount of free content anyone can find online orrrr that I’m a coach and can program my own shish. And yet… I refused to do it at first.
I shut down and let our little lock down and suggested guidelines to control my way of living. THEN I said f**k that s**t, got myself together, made a pivot around this silly and short little obstacle AND I made the best of my time at home with my family. Returning to my fitness beginnings with those at home workout videos was exactly what my soul needed.
Please don’t let fear stop you from achieving your dreams. This chapter of your life is FOR YOU TO WRITE! But if you’re in a place where fear and discomfort is crippling you, I wanna hear about it. What is something that will hinder your progress?
