picked up an amazing and dropped it off to get some final setup work done. After a few small tweaks and spring tension adjustments, it feels just as great as it sounds!
COA Summer continues with one of my all-time favorite The Model F was relatively short-lived, but a really great instrument
COA summer continues with this R13 Prestige A
Left hand Ab/Eb lever, or nah?
I recently wrapped up a COA on this incredible set of MoBa
Legende set all spiffed up and ready to go
It's amazing how the life can be sucked out of $9300 when it has a broken $.02 thumb tube o-ring (right out of the box)
So excited to be receiving some appropriate instruments for woodwind doubling in the jazz and Latin ensembles
Ready as I'll ever be! repair clinic drops at noon!
I had a wonderful time at in California 🌴 working with their QC team setting up saxophones and bass clarinets!
compact double case are here and you know I had to order some fun colors
What a pain in the hole! This needed a replacement lower joint. It was covered under warranty, but the replacement came without any holes drilled for the thumb rest, strap ring, or key guides. Instead of making the musician wait months for another replacement joint, I drilled all 14 missing holes myself. I drill holes in all the time, but doing it 14 times (deep enough for the screw to grab securely but not so far it goes into the bore) even made me sweat a bit 😅 but the operation was a success and the instrument is once again playing beautifully
An extra special shipment will go out tomorrow. 15 pocket are headed to as they prepare for their trip to Tanzania! DMI is an organization that promotes conservation of grenadilla wood and music education, please check them out!
Big shipment from has arrived and Pawz Scaggs has nearly finished checking it in

to March when and I kicked off the biannual conference in Oklahoma with our repair clinic. This was the 20th state I've presented a repair clinic in. 30 more and I can retire
I only drill about a dozen pin holes (for cracks) before tossing the drill bit. A fresh drill bit makes for a cleaner cut and less stress on the instrument. You deserve it.
Don't forget to get your cleaned once in a while
Nothing worse than a twisted thumb tube in a (okay, there's way worse things) but this is so frustrating to see because it:
1. Is careless
2. Causes lots of unnecessary turbulence
3. Is very easy to correct
I recently saw 2 in a row like this and both clients report their instrument is now playing better than it ever has before 🤔
Really loving the triple case with backpack extensions.
You could easily travel for a Bb/A/Eb weekend gig with just this backpack

Long-backordered family gear from and rolling in today
Ain't Nuthin' but a G Thang ( Vocalise G mouthpiece, that is)
Wouldn't it be great if saxophonists could utilize the panty hose trick without it looking an unsightly mess? I've got good news!
This Yanagisawa is amazing, but also has one of the worst high A hisses I've ever heard (second only to my personal Yamaha Custom). A well-known trick is to tie panty hose around the neck octave pip, which works well to get rid of the hiss, but it looks terrible. This can be remedied by tying the hose as normal, but then gluing down the area around the pip and trimming away the excess.
Or for a more permanent solution, the pip can be threaded like I did on my in the final picture
