Tracy Walker is a Masters-level social worker and firmly believes in social justice, the dignity and worth of every person, and the importance of human connection and belonging through community. She grew up in Fairmount, raised by Noreen Mullen Towsley, who she describes as a no-nonsense, passionate, loving, intelligent mother, and her father Bill Towsley, a passionate union leader for the IBEW. Tracy is a teacher and director at Syracuse University and has volunteered as a board member and President of BOD Huntington Family Centers. Her career has been focused on supporting and advocating for some of the most vulnerable in our society.
Tracy has lived in Geddes for 22 years and is running for Town Council to give back to the community through public service. Her empathy, listening skills, diverse life experience, problem solving, and leadership skills will make her a fantastic council member.

Quick Bio:
Raised in Fairmount by an amazing, fun loving, intelligent, supportive mom, Noreen Mullen Towsley and a no nonsense, passionate, loving, intelligent, and union leader (IBEW) father, Bill Towsley. I am a Masters Level social worker, and thus believe in social justice, the dignity and worth of every person, the importance of human connection and belonging through community. I am a teacher and director at Syracuse University. I have volunteered as a Board Member and President of BOD at Huntington Family Centers. My career has been focused on supporting and advocating for some of the most vulnerable in our society.
Geddes has been my community for almost 22 years. I want to give back...I have what it takes...empathy, listening skills, diverse life experiences, problem solving and leadership.

Meet Maryanne Grady, our candidate for Geddes Town Supervisor. Maryanne attended the University of Delaware, where she oversaw laboratory work for postdoctoral research on solar energy. She worked for the Sun Oil Company auditing underground storage remediation, and then went on to manage 38 independent contractors while working for The Post Standard. Maryanne finally retired from the Samaritan Center where she received the Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary International while supervising over 400 volunteers per month.
Maryanne has lived in Westvale for 30 years with her husband Bill and is by far the most qualified candidate on the ballot for the position.

Alanna Zimmer Redmond, one of our candidates for Geddes Town Council, will be hosting a meet and greet at Limp Lizard on Onondaga Boulevard on Thursday October 26, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8.:00pm. Light snacks will be served. There is no entry fee and contributions are accepted but not expected!
