The self-titled third album from SSM may be their tightest and most experimental outing overall. Self-recorded in a SW Detroit basement on a guitar amp Morris found in the trash and with drum samples and synths to spare, we once again visit SSM's post-revolution Detroit as they find bodies on Mound, burning Volkswagens on Grand River, and discover life on Mars.
Each physical album is a literal piece of art with hand-screened and colored artwork by legendary Detroit poster artist Mark Arminski. Originally released on Howl Records in 2009 on LP, CD, and cassette, this 2022 remaster finally gives the group's last full-length effort the digital release it deserves.
