California District 2 Little League

Calling all Little Leagues! We have just been told that this Saturday, July 27th, is Little League Day with the Marysville Drakes. All little leaguers in uniform will receive free admission to the game and their team will be invited to join the Drakes on the field.

Use this fall to develop skills and improve your players understanding of the game. Contact your local league for details about Fall Ball.

Sadly our Senior Softball team lost today and so did their dreams of going to the World Series. We are all so proud of them and the effort they put into the game. Let's give them a big cheer and around of applause. Woo Hoo Ladies, Great Job!

Our Senior Softball team is off and running with their first win as the playoffs finally begin after pool play. Next game tonight at 5:30. (Please note the times posted in the bracket are Mountain Standard Time. 6:30 in Montana = 5:30 in California)

Our Senior Softball had their first loss today, we must not have been cheering loud enough to make the win happen. They play again at 5pm and I expect us to be loud and proud to cheer them on. Winner winner chicken dinner! Two of our ladies won individual medals in challenges that tested their skills at opening ceremonies last night. Marlie Berry(L) took 2nd place in the Lightning Foot competition with Peyton Miller(R) taking 2nd place in the Cannon Arm competition. Great job ladies showing off those skills!

Our Senior Softball team worked hard and pulled off their first win of the tournament against Nevada. Final score 9-13. Congratulations ladies. Game 2 tomorrow at 11 against the home team Missoula Montana.

Opening ceremonies this morning in Montana for our Senior Softball team! Are you ready to play "Find our team?" Look hard at the picture and take a guess. Can you find them? Answer to come tomorrow, so keep watching their progress.

If you would like to help our Senior Softball players the team has just shared their Venmo fundraising account with us. Please know that even at this higher level of tournament play, players are still responsible for all travel and living expenses. Little League International does not help with expenses until teams go to the World Series.

Senior Softball Regionals begins Thursday with pool play. If you are not familiar with this type of tournament basically all the teams play each other, the teams are the ranked and then seeded.

Congratulations Colusa Senior Softball for winning the Senior Softball State Tournament today! It's off to the West Regionals in Montana. Great job ladies! Safe travels and good luck at the Regional Tournament!

Colusa Senior Softball got off to a great start this morning at the State Tournament in Martinez, 0-15. Winner winner chicken dinner! They advance to play in the winners bracket today at 3.

The Northern California State Senior Softball Tournament starts this weekend in Martinez with Colusa Little League representing D2. This same group of young ladies has visited the Western Regionals twice in Junior Softball. It's a tough bracket this year but let's wish them luck. GOOD LUCK LADIES, play ball!

Remember there are 3 Section 2 Baseball Tournaments starting this week; 8-10, 9-11 and 10-12. Get yourself out to some ballgames and support our local teams!

The 10-12 Baseball Tournament is getting closer to the final game. Peach Bowl Little League moves along in the winners bracket while Sutter Area Little League and Plumas Lake Little League battle it out tonight in the losers bracket. Who will win that coveted spot, game starts at 7pm so come on down and find out!

Finally have an update on the 10-12 All Star Baseball Tournament taking place at Peach Bowl LIttle League.

The Intermediate (50/70) State Tournament starts Saturday at Northridge Little League in Citrus Heights. Let's give the South Sutter Little League team a big cheer to help them win. GO SOUTH SUTTER!

Plumas Lake 10-12 Softball All Stars are working their way through the losers bracket. A win tonight would put them in the semi finals on Wednesday. Good luck ladies!

Live Oak 8-10 Softball lost last night in the finals against East Redding. It was a great run ladies, we are all proud of you!
