I remember when COVID first hit and my event planning business shut down. Overnight, my income vanished because I wasn't allowed to plan events anymore. My first reaction was panic. I remember waiting until everyone was asleep, closing myself in the bathroom, and crying—crying a lot and hard. Everything I had built was taken away from me in an instant, and I wasn’t allowed to plan another event for two years. That meant two years of stable income reduced to zero.

Instead of continuing to wallow in self-pity, I decided to fight back, change things up, and pivot. With the support of my community of incredible women in business, I returned to what I knew. With the help of my coach Selina Gray, I built up my social media business. Initially, I wasn't confident and charged way too little, resulting in working too hard for barely anything. After more tears and encouragement from my supportive community, I increased my prices 10x from what I originally charged. Though I lost all my clients and had to rebuild from scratch, I now have incredible clients for whom I am so thankful.

Selina helped me see my worth, understand my unique skills, and monetize them to build recurring revenue. I am immensely grateful for her and the community she fosters. Without her and the supportive women around her, I don't know if I would have made it through the pandemic as successfully as I did or found a business that brings me so much joy, financial freedom, and growth opportunities.
