Which natural chew (supervised of course) beats any other at the rescue?
Griffey agrees 😍🥰 he may not befriend horses but will gladly chomp down on hoof trimmings.
Just make sure to clean the trimmings before giving it to the pups and avoid using the dried up ones as they can break in big pieces and cause problems when going down the esophagus and into the stomach.
Rescue or DMV Foster Needed
We don’t like debates but this is too good to pass on ……Anyone interested in (gasp 😲 ) a Silver Lab?
Basically a made up term for a Labrador with a diluted gene, yes we have her Wisdom Panel Results (attached) and she's 100% Labrador Retriever.
Let’s learn her basic info:
*Location: Beaufort SC (transport can be arranged to a 501c)
*She came from a “breeder”
*DOB: June 23, 2023
*Great with Children, adults…well humans in general (but will alert bark till she gets a sniff then you’re her new best friend)
*Loves to play, run, chase, tug of war, and fetch.
*Likes to carry her stuffed toy for comfort
*Excellent temperament
*UTD/Spayed
*NOT HW tested so potentially HW+
*Chipped
*Weight: 70lbs
*Friendly to all, dog park star, described as a “follower”
*She thinks cats are dogs and wants to play,
*Can’t be trusted left alone outside the crate cause she will get herself in trouble putting whatever she finds in her mouth including cat litter ewww!
*Crate trained, but doesn’t like it, she will howl for a few minutes then give up.
*Forget about putting a bed in her crate, she’s a freaking lab her bed all of the sudden is her brand new toy to shred.
*Food motivated but no RG of any kind including toys
She’s approaching the terrible twos and she’s too much to handle with life happenings (special needs children, job etc), energetic and then some, no, really, very energetic so needs a rescue that can place her in the right adoptive home or if you want to foster you’d better be an ironman competitor 🤣
In case the point didn’t make it across, while she’s amazing, she most definitely needs direction, structure and training, she’s not going to train herself.
Reach out (PM) if you want to take her into your rescue, I will provide contact information for you to take over.
Or if you want to foster (fill out our application here: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
All we know about her is in this post, please don’t ask questions we can’t answer 🧐😞🤫
is here! and are matching donations weekly, and we need your support! Donate now to help us save as many pets as possible: https://donate.clearthesheltersfund.org/page/tascas-love-cooperative
So have you heard of the new breed Chicshund 🤣 yeah we have that, cause we totally made it up 😆
Anywho, Lizzie, (Fawn), Willow (tricolor) and Carlane (B/W) are leaving TX on September 6th arriving September 7th.
We need separate foster homes for them cause they have to be separated at this age before they become dependent on each other.
Social, playful and friendly to all.
Freakishly long bodies yet at a whopping 9 lbs 🤔 Here's their photo dump just because 🥰
If you would like to foster one of these girls and are within 25 miles of Zip code 20906 then please fill out our foster application. You will be expected to meet at transport drop off point in Falls Church VA (~8:30PM for now) to pick up your foster pup: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
How do you confirm Sunny to be cat friendly? Have her meet an entitled Bengal 😆
This post maybe a little too late since it's the end of the evening, but better late than never:
Anyone who was waiting on a response to an email, a meet and greet time arrangement, a call back, or foster pick up/switch that was supposed to happen today, we sincerely apologize for missing our appointment or lack of response, truly absolutely sorry! There were 4 different emergencies between Monday and today that took us completely by surprise and we had to scramble. We did the best we can and handled only critical matters.
We will reach out as soon as possible .
Again, truly sorry for our lack of response.
Chevy lost his jewels 😍❤️
Sweet as can be, not house-trained. Will be 5 in November.
Available for adoption
Oscar has been very busy being spoiled, he doesn't have time to check in often so we're just going to do a photo overload 🤣
Not true 🥰 his foster mom has been amazing with sending updates and photos, so here's some we didn't share before.
We will edit this post once the gods of Facebook let us see what we're actually posting cause it is all blurred, we're going to be as surprised as you are, cause all we know is that these are labeled Oscar but we can't tell which ones 🤣
Get ready for another picture/video bonanza 😁 We can't stop ourselves, not with this accompanying bio from Emily's amazing foster mama! Here's what she wrote:
If you’re looking for a bundle of joy with a heart as big as her enthusiasm, Emily is the puppy for you!
With a zest for life that’s simply contagious, Emily loves everything with a heartbeat. Her boundless energy makes playtime a blast, whether it’s running, fetching, or chasing after her favorite toys.
What Emily Loves:
**Belly Rubs: Her absolute favorite! She’s guaranteed to roll over and show her belly for a good scratch.
**Playtime: She’s always ready for a game and has plenty of puppy energy to keep you on your toes.
**Outdoor Adventures: With her speed and stamina, Emily would make an excellent jogging or hiking buddy.
Good with:
**Kids: She’s sweet, gentle and loving, though a little bouncy when excited
**Cats and Dogs: Emily gets along wonderfully with other pets and would enjoy having a doggy playmate or even thriving as an only pet.
Training & Habits:
**Potty Trained: She responds well to “go potty” and is already learning the ropes.
**Crate Time: Emily is a pro at settling into her crate for some quiet downtime.
What She Needs:
**Belly Rubs and Love
**Puppy Training: While Emily has good manners, like all puppies, she will benefit from continued training to help her grow into an exceptional adult dog.
Emily is ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and adventure.

Cupcake is enjoying her first week of freedom from being confined for heartworm treatment. She's on a mini vacation with a temp foster (TLC previous adopter 😍).
Not sure how she hasn't had a single good application for her, but that's alright, we never push our dogs out the door, her people will come.
Enjoy
Ms. Elena posed well for her photoshoot on her mini vacation with her amazing temp foster (TLC previous adopter 😍) she really was soaking up the attention 🥰
Her applications leave much to be desired so she's still sifting through them 😉
Oh and her foster did a Sarah McLachlan Humane Society style rain video that facebook keeps on taking down, but it was freaking perfect.
Enjoy
Someone in Benson North Carolina decided it was a good idea to create a genetic disaster then dump it in the middle of nowhere so it can breed more mutts.
Introducing Rogue:
A mix of a Frenchie, a Bulldog and if we get a DNA test, we bet we’ll find a Pug hiding in there as well!
Rogue is a full fledged puppy, with enough energy to make your head spin. She's a low rider who is able and WILL jump 4 feet in the air to get you to give up what's in your hand.
Absolutely want to be by her human, settles beautifully in her crate and sleeps in it through the night, keeps her crate clean, will entertain herself if not supervised which may include destroying your valuables if you're not paying attention.
She's a dream on a leash, dog friendly (meeting through barrier so far)
If interested in fostering/adopting Rogue and live within a maximum of 30 miles from zip code 20906 fill out our non binding application located here: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
Any Corgi lovers looking to adopt a sweet 4 year old?
Chevy, a 4 yr old Corgi is looking for a place to call home.
He’s a covid pup which translates to his socialization and exposure were very limited. He was bought from a breeder by an older gentleman who progressed in physical limitations and Chevy ended up spending most of his days in his crate without his basic needs being met; his world was small, filled mostly with shadows and silence.
Despite the isolation, he’s a gentle soul who craves human connection, eagerly seeking pets and affection from strangers. With proper introduction, he’s friendly and playful with other dogs that he meets in a home setting or off leash, but leash reactivity is something he's working on.
He will alert at noises or when the other dogs in the home get worked up, but he’s generally quiet.
Chevy, understandably, needs house training because of the length of time he previously spent in a crate. He can be an anxious trickler/peer, especially if no one is there, or if he’s in a crate and gets anxious over noises, but generally clean in the home if there are people around.
He’s truly a great boy who’s looking for a calm environment, a patient family to show him the ropes, love on him, properly care for him and teach him how to dog; he’ll blossom into a wonderful companion.

Emily is one lucky street puppy! She was saved from starvation and being run over, a group of selfless advocates rallied around her and asked us to bring her to Maryland, and sure enough on 8/9 she landed in her foster home with her very own private pool :)
Share this beauty please so she can find her forever home. To apply to meet Emily you can fill out our non-binding application located here: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
Please Share this beauty
Sunny was dumped in a busy parking lot in TX. She waited for two weeks around the same spot but no one came back for her 😢 That was so in the past! Sunny made it to Maryland Friday 8/9 and she's already adjusting beautifully in her foster home❤️
We are absolutely delighted and very grateful that our appllication for a $500 grant through the Phoenix Fund was accepted. Their generous contribution to a tiny organization like ours, means the world to us as it allows us to continue helping more dogs in need.
The funds will be used to offset some of the medical costs for 15 year old Holly who underwent a $1,000 surgery to remove a 3.5lbs mass that she's been carrying for years and has affected her quality of life.
It is no exaggeration when we state that she got a new lease on life. She's vibrant, playful and has a pep in her step that wasn't there when we first welcomed her into our rescue as an owner surrender. The mass was weighing her down mentally and physically.
Holly is still looking for a forever home so please share (don't just like :)) this precious senior who deserves to have a family of her own, to spend whatever time she has left being loved and spoiled by them.
🎀Meet Jasmine🎀
This cutie is one of our new Tara’s House pups. Stay tuned for more information!
Since DC Metro and surrounding states lost it over the tiny chis, hopefully these puppies will have the same luck.
Born May 7, 2024, weighing less than 7lbs, friendly to all.
Lizzie (fawn), Willow (Bl/W/Brn) and Carlane (Bl/W)
Mom is pug mix. Babies have short legs and long bodies
In order to foster, you must live within 25 miles of zip code 20906 and fill out the application at this link: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
The maximum number of resident dogs already in the foster home can not exceed 2
For those interested in adopting, our dogs are not adoptable till two weeks after arrival into a foster home. This maybe your perfect opportunity to offer to foster and see if the pup is a good fit for your lifestyle.
Dear Friends,
We come to you with another ask and hope your generosity will carry us through. We are in need of good quality harnesses of all sizes and safety clips that we attach between harness and collar.
Our most urgent need at this time is xx-small, x-small, small and medium. We have a few sturdy large and Extra Large harnesses that we cycle through but will not say no if you want to donate a few more :)
We added a whole bunch to our wishlists on Amazon and Chewy to make sure you have a ton of options to choose from.
We have no preference to one brand or another. Amazon, overall, seems to have better pricing and the Ruffwear, Rabbitgo and Kong brands we use for medium and large dogs. Chewy has the Chai's Choice brand which works for all sizes and is pretty durable.
We listed on both wishlists what we normally use and those almost always either end up going home with the adopted pups, or consumed by wear and tear (and frankly puppy teeth 🤣).
Thank you in advance for your help and generosity.
This is Cupcake (eyeing the chickens) sporting a 2 year old harness that came with one of returned dogs.

Elena spoke 😍 listen up and apply to meet her through Tasca’s Love
Share Please so we can find fosters for them :)
These alien looking things are pretty cute 😍
Lizzie (fawn), Willow (tricolor) and Carlane (B/W) are a whopping 6.8lbs at almost 3 motnhs old!!! Freaking tiny!
Our prediction of daddy was off mark; babies have short legs and long bodies, so best guess is mom is pug mix and dad dachshund mix or chi mix, who cares they're pretty darn cute and we're looking for fosters for them.
You must live within 25 miles of zip code 20906 and fill out the application at this link: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
Let’s talk about Fuji for a minute :)
~ 8 months old, Female, 42lbs, friendly to all, fixed, Shepherdish looking…. And yes, you're seeing it correctly, these are not her hackles standing up, the hair at the neck is naturally standing 😍
Sweet, Cute, well behaved, energetic, plays well with big and small dogs (that's Oscar with her), gets beat up by the chihuahua in the foster home, doesn’t know what to do with cats, and most importantly? Looking for a foster or adoptive home. She may not be suitable in a home with very small children because of her energy level.
She leaves Texas behind heading to Maryland August 8 and arrives August 10
If you’re interested in fostering or adopting this sweetheart, fill out our application located at this link: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
Elena is on a mini vacation with one of our previous adopters. We hope she'll get the exposure that her whopping 20lbs stature deserves 😁 and meet people on walks that will instantly fall in love with her.
Kernel & Daisy weren't impressed with her shenanigans when she first arrived, but seems the "testing waters" period is over and it's full on roar mode 🥰
If interested in meeting Elena and live within a maximum distance of 60 miles from zip code 20906 then please fill out our application at this link https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd
Oscar made himself right at home at his foster's, the resident pup is not impressed 🤓😍🥰
Chabelita, or Cha Cha as her foster calls her, is settling into her foster home just fine and resuming her reign of terror 🤣
Goodness Gracious!
Chabelita and Oscar made it to Maryland and we're totally in love with them ❤️
Chabelita is the size of a 3 month old cat! It was a shock to see how tiny she really is. She army crawled onto Gups 😍 and buried her head into her shirt.
Oscar, lover boy, was instantly glued to Gups as if they've been friends forever 🥰 he came equipped with a licker license 🤣
Both left to their seperate foster home and we'll anxiously wait on the foster feedback
Playful, social, fun and 100% active pups.
Neither is available for adoption till they finish their two week evaluation.
