for Embarrassing story behind this shoot.. Our label told us the photographer’s name was and I didn’t think anything of it and neither did they. When I got to the location (thinking it was a hired location) he opened the door and I thought ‘Funny, he looks a bit like Bryan Adams’. I entered the room where the stylist, MUA and hair stylist were waiting so I could get ready. I quickly stripped off to my underwear, raised my arms to Bryan and nodding to my arm-pits asked ‘Do you think I need to shave them? I’ve not seen the clothes yet..’ and he said yes. So I asked him to show me where the bathroom was so I could shave. When we got there I realised there wasn’t a mirror in it so I followed him out and said ‘what sort of studio is this where there’s no bathroom mirror?’. He then showed me another bathroom. After that I asked if there was any tea so we went to the kitchen and chatted about the shoot while we waited for the kettle to boil. While the kettle was boiling I started looking for soya milk (I was vegan), opening the fridge and cupboards… and this is all in my underwear just assuming he was ‘only’ a fashion photographer who’d seen it all before. About 10 minutes later as the stylist lowered a beautiful designer dress over my head she said ‘Oh isn’t he talented - not only a successful singer-songwriter but also a great photographer!’. I remember being stuck behind this lush fabric and I just thought ‘Oh my God! I have just flashed my arm-pits at Bryan Adams and went through his kitchen cupboards in front of him’. When it was time to start shooting I was pretty quiet.
