You are becoming

Me: Hey God.
God: Hello.....
Me: I'm falling apart. Can you put me back together?
God: I would rather not.
Me: Why?
God: Because you aren't a puzzle.
Me: What about all of the pieces of my life that are falling down onto the ground?
God: Let them stay there for a while. They fell off for a reason. Take some time and decide if you need any of those pieces back.
Me: You don't understand! I'm breaking down!
God: No - you don't understand. You are breaking through. What you are feeling are just growing pains. You are shedding the things and the people in your life that are holding you back. You aren't falling apart. You are falling into place. Relax. Take some deep breaths and allow those things you don't need anymore to fall off of you. Quit holding onto the pieces that don't fit you anymore. Let them fall off. Let them go.
Me: Once I start doing that, what will be left of me?
God: Only the very best pieces of you.
Me: I'm scared of changing.
God: I keep telling you - YOU AREN'T CHANGING!! YOU ARE BECOMING!
Me: Becoming who?
God: Becoming who I created you to be! A person of light and love and charity and hope and courage and joy and mercy and grace and compassion. I made you for more than the shallow pieces you have decided to adorn yourself with that you cling to with such greed and fear. Let those things fall off of you. I love you! Don't change! ... Become! Become! Become who I made you to be. I'm going to keep telling you this until you remember it.
Me: There goes another piece.
God: Yep. Let it be.
Me: So ... I'm not broken?
God: Of course Not! - but you are breaking like the dawn. It's a new day

It isn't the wound that's holding you prisoner, it's the belief that you deserved to be wounded. Let go of that lie and rise!

Life doesn't always feel fair.

You will face hurts and develop wounds.

At times you'll be the one doing the hurting,

Other times, you'll be the one receiving the hurt.

Yet, no matter what happens in life you have a choice.

You can spend all day, every day feeling sorry for yourself and all that you've encountered.

You can regret your decisions, the pain you're feeling, and blame the people in your life

Or you can use everything you're going through to help you become even more.

If you allow the wound to own you.

You'll feel as though you deserve to be mistreated

But if you recognize that the wound was a message,

You can heal, learn, grow, and rise far beyond where you were.

Let go of the hurt,

Don't let the past control your present,

Believe in yourself,

And you will rise to become victorious!

Let it go, you can't move forward holding fast to the past.

You are perfect as you are

No one is grateful for everything,

Especially not when you're in the midst of a challenge,

However, once you're through the difficulty you may be able to look back with gratitude for what you've gained.

Sometimes you learn what to do

Other times you learn what not to do

And then there are times you learn how strong you really are.

A powerful gratitude practice doesn't look at what's wrong and say, "I'm so grateful to be experiencing this."

It doesn't pretend to love something it hates

And it doesn't require you to be robotically delighted by your circumstances.

No, a good, solid gratitude practice recognizes that the challenge exists

And looks at what's right.

It remembers all the reasons you have to be grateful,

All of the ways things have worked out in the past,

And all that you have learned along the way.

A powerful gratitude practice uses your strengths,

Helps you appreciate what you do have,

And opens your heart so you can receive even more.

You are the power in your life. Honor all that you are

Even the darkness has wonderful gifts of growth to share. Learn from everything and regret nothing.

Love them where they are but allow yourself to be free of their limitations by seeing yourself as you are. Love frees you both.
