A love letter to CHaRM 20/04/2024

Atlanta has a fantastic resource in the Live Thrive - Center for Hard to Recycle Materials, it's one of my first recommendations to my clients! ♻️

A love letter to CHaRM Here’s what I packed in my car on a recent Saturday morning: 17 cans of paint, 8 propane canisters, 2 old iPads, a Medusa tangle of electrical cords, and a bag stuffed so full with bags it had to sit buckled into the passenger’s seat. “Can you take this too?” my wife asked, thrusting some ki...

If you’re looking to move from Mint to another budgeting system, YNAB is the way to go! Need help getting started? Check out my coaching services at getorganizedyall.com/budget-coaching 💙

This just in! 🗞️ Intuit announced that Mint will be discontinuing their services. If you're currently a Mint user and you're looking to upgrade, let's delve into what makes YNAB a standout choice:

🔭 Future-Centric Focus: Unlike Mint, where tracking spending comes after the fact, YNAB adopts a forward-thinking approach. It empowers you to anticipate your future financial needs and proactively create a plan to meet them.

💸 Flexibility at Its Core: Life is ever-evolving, and YNAB acknowledges that. It offers the flexibility to adapt your financial plan as your circumstances change, ensuring it remains tailored to your needs.

💡 Purposeful Decision-Making: With YNAB, you’re in the driver’s seat. You determine your financial and life priorities, and then chart a course for your spending that aligns with those choices.

📱 Easily Customized: Unlike Mint, YNAB lets you change your spending categories to fit your unique life and spending needs.

It Starts With Clothing 16/05/2023

The KonMari Method® has a specific order in which we declutter our items; the first category is always clothing. This isn't an arbitrary starting point - there are actually very good reasons why we tackle this category first! Why do we start with clothing? The somewhat glib answer is because clothing tends to be an easy category to start with. However, there's a lot more to that statement than is obvious on the surface!...

Last month I joined the Digital Marketing Therapy podcast by The First Click to discuss how nonprofits use their mission and vision in their day-to-day work, especially during times of crisis, and how to incorporate feedback and ideas from all levels of your org chart. | Jazz at Lincoln Center

April is , and one of my favorite educational resources is Jazz at Lincoln Center. They are amazing at highlighting jazz greats as well as new artists to watch. They have a phenomenal space in New York City (if you're looking for a fun evening show, be sure to check out Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola!), and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by the phenomenal Wynton Marsalis is a can't miss show every time they are in Atlanta. Their album "The Abyssinian Mass" is a deeply spiritual piece of music for me. If you're looking to add a little jazz to your life, give them a follow!

Darn Near Perfect Popcorn Recipe | Alton Brown 10/04/2021

| Homemade Popcorn 🍿

I don't know about you, but I LOVE popcorn. So much that sometimes I make a meal out of popcorn - nothing else needed, just some butter and salt. My favorite way to make popcorn is Alton Brown's method - using a stainless steel bowl on the stovetop (though now he's making it with ghee, and I'm still making it with good ole peanut oil 🥜). This has been a go-to method for me for years, and it is sooooo far superior to anything you'd make in the microwave. Plus, you just use a metal bowl - no special equipment required!

What snack is sparking joy for you this week?
