The architect, from renown architectural firm CPKUKREJA, revealed in local news how their team elevated the concept of sustainable design by optimizing the use of that space with Gala Systems’ innovative technology.

The Brahmkamal Hall, an impressive multipurpose auditorium of 6000 seats, 3,500 of which are fully transformable seats on a moving floor system.

It also features a central stage and the ability to be divided into two independent spaces using a Gala wall from below and a wall from above, closing together a 16-metre opening.

This meeting venue is poised to meet both present-day event requirements and future needs.

This automated Gala solution at MGM Theater at MGM COTAI in Macau allows seats to be deployed or stored under the floor when they are not in use. The theatre can easily transform itself from a raked seating layout to a flat floor space, with any number of sub-configurations in between. Custom space arrangements can be achieved for special events, ranging from traditional concert, fashion show or movie premiere layouts, to a 360-degree configuration for talk shows, product launches and international DJ performances. Moreover, using computer-controlled presets, the Gala Venue® Seating System will allow quick and simple overnight or midday changeovers, within 15 minutes at a push of a button.

Lindemann Performing Arts Center's Main Hall Designed Using the Integrated Project Delivery Method

Actively engaged as a technical partner from the onset of the Lindemann Performing Arts Center's design, Gala Systems closely collaborated with the entire project team over a two-year period. Employing the Integrated Project Delivery process—a departure from the traditional construction bidding method—the team brought together the owner, architect, general contractor, building engineers, and experts from diverse disciplines and manufacturing domains. Under the supervision of Shawmut Design and Construction, a national construction management firm, and with the contribution of theater designer Michael Nishball and others from Theatre Projects Consultants, the team took a holistic and user-centered approach to co-create the Main Hall. The outcome is remarkable: a distinctive versatile shoebox hall capable of transforming into over a dozen configurations, including a recital hall, flat floor, orchestra setup, end stage, and experimental media spaces. All these transformations are possible thanks to 8 lifts, using 36 Spiralift units, and other seating wagons, articulated stairs all supplied by Gala Systems.
