TOP TIPS FOR THIS WEEK

-PORTION CONTROL, To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume, which inevitably means one thing portion control.

But you're not necessarily doomed to a growling stomach until you reach your goal.

Portion control doesn't mean you have to eat tiny portions of everything

Here's what can also help .....

-DRINK WATER, drink a big glass of water before each meal sometimes you feel hungry when actually your body is simply thirsty.

-VEGGIES FILLER, Bulking up your meals with veggies is one easy way to cut calories while filling you up fast. Spinach, for example, can be used as a sandwich-topper or can add fiber and nutrients to pasta and stir-fry, other ideas to eat more veggies swap in mushrooms for half the ground meat in most recipes, make porridge more filling with diced apples, and use a whole wheat pita in place of bread so you can stuff it with more veggies! Always works for me 🙋🏽

-MAKE CARBS THE TOPPER INSTEAD OF THE BASE, rethink the way you use grains and starches. Take a breakfast for instance instead of starting with a muesli base, fill your cup with yogurt and then sprinkle just a tiny amount of muesli on top for the crunch you crave. Making a stir-fry load up your plate with veggies and a serving of lean protein, then add a quarter cup of brown rice.

-WORK FOR YOUR FOOD, try to make the time to have to work for your food especially when snacking. Snack on pistachio nuts and oranges that you have to peal. Just a few healthy options.

-LIMIT MEAL TIME DISTRACTIONS, this will help your body to register that you have eaten, studies have shown that sitting in from of the TV while eating your meal is not letting your brain register that you have just eaten. Take time to appreciate every bit and taste everything you eat

Integrating detox smoothies or juicing into your normal diet can have tremendous health benefits. You can enjoy smoothies for weight loss, as a natural cleanse, to keep you hydrated, keep your bowels regular, and many more benefits. Try experimenting with different recipes until you find the ones you really like and will drink often.

There are so many benefits to get tis large amount of fresh nutrients into your body in a convenient way on a DAILY BASIS. The impact it can have on so many ‘illnesses’ or ‘dis-ease’ is HUGE.

If you haven’t yet watched 'The Superjuice Me Experiment’, please take some time to watch it asap. You will not believe your eyes when you see what happened to the people involved and the power of juicing. TBF I found juicing on a daily basis far too time consuming with a young family and busy life BUT IF I HAD A SERIOUS ILLNESS I would make the time of course!!

I found smoothies much easier and also if you really get stuck you can buy a whole host of COLD PRESSED JUICES WITH NO ADDITIVES from a lot of the supermarkets now.

My partner is a nutritionist (both clinical and sports), so we’ve worked on developing a programme that is going to be easy and give you all the benefits. I’m really looking forwards to sharing the programme and some more recipes with you later :)

I 'borrowed' this from the other half. ;) A 3 day bikini or skinny dress detox for beating the bloat after a zillion eater eggs. I found this to be a really powerful kickstart. I'm determined to get back in shape. If you would like to try the FREE RECIPE, I'd love to share it with you. Please PM me with your email address.

3 Day Beat the Belly Bloat! This is the recipe I stole from the other half 😂 she uses it as a bikini or skinny dress detox. Nothing better for preparing you for C9.

It may not look much buts it's packed full of goodies and protein. Try having this for brekkie or a replacement for one meal a day. Eat nothing else but healthy food. That means nothing processed in anyway and see if you can cut down tea and coffee (got a tip for that later!).

PM me if you would like the recipe!

I've done a few cleanses or detoxes, which ever you prefer to call them. The second one I ever did was the best, because I was prepared. I lost a substantial amount which really gave me a boost and inspired me to keep going. Having a tough and busy few months I've let things slip but I AM COMMITTED and prepared.

It's difficult to avoid temptation of foods I need to avoid with small children about, so I'm stealing the other halfs 3 day cleanse to do Pre C9. I love it and I'll share it with you all tomorrow 👍🥗

Today I was the Easter bunny! After egg hunt no.3 I seriously never want to eat chocolate again. Roll on day 1, sort the belly out tomorrow 😂😷🤡

Right back in action! I am too FAT already and I am preparing for the post easter belly! Can't keep up with these kids otherwise. There's the obvious and the not so obvious here...see what you think!

1. Committing to 10 minutes of exercise that got my heart rate up everyday. 10 minutes doesn't sound like its enough but you can cram a lot into 10 minutes if you really want to and its an easy can achievable start if you're starting out from couch potato or tied to a desk or behind a wheel (or leavers) every day.

2. Eat as clean as possible. If you're that sort of person that says right thats it I'm not eating any of that anymore and stick to it great! I started by making an effort to avoid as much as I can.

- no processed foods (that means anything pre-prepared, ready meals, sausages, ham, cheese, etc), crips, cakes etc!
- no added salt or sugar
- check for hidden salt and sugar
- cut down tea and coffee
- drink plenty of water
- eat as much fresh food as possible

3. Cleanse or Detox your body. Build up from chemicals on food, food additives, history of medications, etc. Can lead to an unhealthy digestion and liver. I started with a 3 day cleanse to help my liver before starting on a more intensive cleanse.

4. Supplement with good quality products where I can.

The liver cleanse is so good I still have one every day. I'll share the recipe with you tomorrow.

Got to keep up with the little ones :)

Sometimes you get a timely reminder that you can never take your health or fitness too seriously, especially if you want to be around for a long time to see your children grow up. I have a job that means I work long hours and time is short to exercise and it’s all too easy to just grab food on the run and sometimes not the too healthy option!

I have gained weight over the early part of the year and gained a belly but with the inspiration of the other half and having to keep up with a very active 4 year old, I’ve started to make changes for the better. My goal is to share my journey with you and hopefully inspire men and women of all to opt for a healthier lifestyle. Sharing achievable exercise and diet tips plus products along the way that I have found useful.

I would love to hear about your journeys too. Let’s feel healthy and feel more alive together.
