Fired up to welcome former Nixa Wrestler Deagan Fugitt back to Nixa as an High School Assistant Wrestling Coach!
At Nixa, Fugitt was a multiple-time COC Champion, State Medalist, Freestyle Medalist, and Greco-Roman State Medalist.
Welcome back, Coach Fugitt!
The first Nixa Wrestling Labor Day 5K went great!
Thankful for 30+ people that showed up on 14 hours notice! Might be a fun event to grow into.
Our first boy was Landon Kepley and the first girl was Zoiee Ward! We had 9 year olds to upper 60’s running everyone did awesome!
I have some videos I will post later…
LABOR DAY 5K
This is a bit short notice, so there are no real expectations here. The Weather is going to be great in the morning, so how about a 5K run?
We will leave the high school at 9:00 am and follow a course of 3.1 miles. This can be for anyone: wrestlers, parents, siblings. You can run, jog, walk, or do something in between!
This is strictly for FUN, with no expectations of times or anything else. Considering it is less than 24 hours' notice, it is quite possible it could just be Coach DeWitt, Melton, and me! That would guarantee a top-three finish!
If you plan on attending, please put your name on the Google Form so I can get a rough idea of whether anyone will attend or just the coaches.

Let’s go Brenya!
After nine remarkable seasons, Coach Jim Robinson has decided to retire from his role as a volunteer coach with the Nixa High School Wrestling Program. Since joining us in 2015, Coach Robinson has been a consistent part of our program, dedicating his wisdom, effort, and energy to nurturing our athletes and community.
Coach Robinson’s commitment extended far beyond the mat. His deep care for each young man and woman he coached was evident through his relationship with our athletes and coaches.
Though his presence will be greatly missed, Coach Robinson has given so much to our program that we will forever be indebted to him. We hope to see Coach swing by some practices next year and join us for local competitions.
The Nixa Wrestling Family would like to say THANK YOU to Coach Jim Robinson.
