Day 1 of Breaker Rock Beach in the books! Doing VBS with some of my favorite people! Singing, dancing, laughing, sharing the gospel. Watching the gifts of so many people come together to make such a huge event happen is incredible. Such a perfect day!

Does anyone have a hard time being still? I know I do. I have to make a conscious effort to be still, to be quiet, to rest in and listen to the Lord.

Spoiled on Mother's Day by the ones who made me a mom. Thankful for our family and the adventures we've had and the ones that are yet to come.

What a week! It was a whirlwind!
🌟 Joyfully celebrated .mcdonald at her bridal shower 🤍
🌟 Celebrated our elementary school teachers with breakfast - if we could give them breakfast every week we would! Thank you for loving our kids so well, meeting them where they are, and challenging them to level up. .real

🌟Treated the amazing Sonshine staff to an end of the year dinner. I'm beyond blessed to work with this amazing group of ladies!
🌟 Found time for intentional movement and a few minutes with Matt ( is the calm to my crazy and kept the household afloat this week as all of my end of the year events landed in the same week).
🌟 Roasted and celebrated graduating seniors. Quality time with and a last hoorah with .mcdonald .
🌟 Enjoyed listening to the talent and hard work of Elementary Honors Choir (A audition only choir made up of 100 4th & 5th grade students from the 43 elementary schools in our district). Thank you and your team for how you pour into and challenge our students.
🌟 Rounding out the week with the absolutely perfect day for Field Day! Watching students, teachers, volunteers, and families alike having a fun filled day! Thankful to partner with so many amazing humans as part of the PTA .g.and.me

More often than not I'm not strong enough on my own. I have to lean into and depend on Christ for the big things, the little things, and the day to day things - for the provision of support, and grace, and love, and peace, and self-control, and in all of the areas where I fall short.

One short day in Oklahoma City!!!
What a gift to share the love of music and theater with our kids. After hearing the Wicked soundtrack they have been asking for years to go see it. This Christmas present had to wait until March 1st, but it was absolutely worth it to see their faces light up throughout the show.

Christmas with this crew is always a good time! Incredibly thankful for precious time with family and friends, for laughter, for joy, for fun, for rest, for celebrating the best gift we've ever received... Jesus.
So long 2023. Hello 2024. Here's to an amazing year ahead!

✨Sometimes it's the little things✨
Levi made an awesome friend during Cub Scouts last year from a neighboring school. It only took us a year to figure out that they lived just down the block from us. Due to rezoning, we found out the boys would be at the same elementary school this year!
It was such a joy to walk down the street to that friend's birthday party, celebrating both him and his brother, and an awesome friendship between two families and neighbors 🎉

Back to school for my kids, PTA in full swing, kids after school activities, and prepping for the start of the preschool year for me has kept me running fun steam ahead. Rest has been limited (working on that I promise), but my soul has been refreshed daily in ways that are beyond what even sleep could do.
✅The friend that brings me coffee unexpectedly.
✅The friends that show up to help without being asked.
✅The sound of joy and laughter from my kids and their friends in the house.
✅The former teacher offering to come in and be a floater at the beginning of the school year because they know extra hands are needed with preschoolers.
✅The wisdom and support of staff to guide through challenging situations.
✅The hubby who steps in without question and with complete understanding of this season.
The consistent God winks day in and day out that remind me I'm not doing this alone and that He will provide for me every step of the way.

That didn't go quite as planned. We cut our workout short because I realized my limitations and I knew I couldn't safely continue.
I've been on the verge of a migraine all day. Sometimes exercise helps due to the increased blood flow and sometimes exercise exacerbates causing dizziness and pounding. Unfortunately I never know which way it's going to go.
Sometimes part of the journey is learning the idiosyncrasies of our bodies and paying attention to the cues it's giving.

Hey Google, find me a sweet potato chip recipe.
Hey Google, find me a clean vegan protein shake that tastes good.
Hey Google, find me a podcast on mindfulness.
Hey Google, find me pre and post workout supplements.
Hey Google, find me a weight training program.
Hey Google, find me a protein bar.
Hey Google find me a cardio workout.
Hey Google, find me a.....
Thankful I found a platform with all of these elements and so much more and don't have to keep asking Google for all of the answers.
As a busy mom I don't have time to always research EVERYTHING! Most of the time I need a streamlined approach to make life easier if possible.

Back to School!
2nd and 4th grade 🥹
I'll miss having my little loves with me during the day, but they are ready for the routine of the school year (ok maybe not the getting up so early part).
Our back to tradition continues: they go to school, we go to brunch 😁.

Someone asked me, "What makes you different from anyone else doing this health and fitness thing?"
I'll be honest, anyone can do this health and fitness thing. But what makes me different is ME and my ability to understand, to relate, to find common ground.
You see, I tend to run the middle. I can often see both sides of the coin.
I understand what it's like to be single.
I understand what it's like to be married.
I understand what it's like to be married without kids.
I understand what it's like to be married with kids.
I understand what it is to be a full time working mom.
I understand what it's like to be a stay at home mom.
I understand what it's like living in a place where you know everybody and everybody knows you.
I understand what it's like moving to somewhere where you don't know anyone and being the new girl.
I understand what it's like living near your family.
I understand what it's like living halfway across the country from your family.
I understand what it's like to be from a small town.
I understand what it's like to be from a growing and developing city.
I understand what it's like to feel very lonely.
I understand what it's like to feel when you have community.
I understand what it's like to be too conservative for some.
I understand what it's like to be too liberal for others.
I understand what it's like to feel uncomfortable in your own skin.
I understand what it feels like to love who you are where you are.
And if I don't understand, I'm willing to listen and hear your story and learn.

Are you comfortable in your own skin?
Are you critical of yourself?
We can be our own best friend or worst enemy.
For years I was uncomfortable in my own skin, probably starting back in late elementary school through adulthood. I would be so hard on myself about everything. And I would compare myself, which is the worst possible thing I could do.
See I was that girl with the strategically placed arm, or bag, sweater, or person in pictures because I didn't want all of me to be seen. Or wore layers of clothing or loose clothing to hide the parts I was uncomfortable with.
After having two sweet little ones back to back I decided it was time for me to take control over my health, over how I thought about myself, over how I move my body, over how I fueled my body - because I couldn't hide anymore. It was time to stop the excuses of:
"This is the food I'm familiar with."
"I don't know how to cook."
"I don't like running."
"I'm intimidated to go to the gym."
"I'm too tired."
"I'm too busy."
This is for the girl who wants to hide in the pictures.
This is for the girl who thinks she's not capable.
This is for the girl who doesn't know where to start.
This is for the girl who is overly critical.
BECAUSE you don't have to hide, you are capable, you can start from the very beginning, and you are absolutely amazing!
I know what it's like to be that girl on the journey and I'm here to cheer you along on your journey! Give a ♥️ in the comments if you're ready to start (or restart) your journey.

Everything costs something. On most cases it's money💲or time ⌚. We all budget differently based on our priorities.
It is a joy to watch my kids explore their interests and find what they love to do! But like with all things there is a cost associated with those things.
I have been blessed to find joy in the business of encouraging, supporting, sharing, and praying with ladies who want to work on their health esteem, embrace where they are, and celebrate where they're going.🎉🎉🎉 That business also creates a side income that I can contribute to our family budgeting.
This week I can say my side income* will contribute to the joy of learning and understanding music and cover the cost of piano lessons for the month. That's a win for doing something I love!
What could you contribute a side income to? What difference could a side income make in your life?

So why is it that I share about workouts, food, positive mindset, faith?
I share because it's part of the journey that I'm on. Sharing my journey shows others that they are strong and capable and not alone. And not only do I share on this platform, but I also share in private challenge groups with ladies who have come together to work on their health esteem, their fitness, their relationship with food, their relationship with themselves.
I started this journey because I didn't know how to take care of myself. I started sharing with my family and making changes there. I included my kids in my workouts and eventually my husband. I found workouts that I enjoyed, food that I loved, and chocolate that will always be included. I jumped into the business side of things because I could see the difference the healthy changes were making in my own family and I wanted to shout it from the rooftops and share with others! I found a solution that was easy and could work with our busy lifestyle.
I'm in the business of encouraging, supporting, sharing, and praying with ladies who want to work on their health esteem, embrace where they are, and celebrate where they're going.🎉🎉🎉
