Pasadena Scottish Pipes & Drums

Formed in 2006, the Pasadena Scottish Pipes & Drums are the 2018 Grade 3B World Champions and the cur We proudly wear the California State tartan.

Affectionately known as the Pasadena Scots, our band is dedicated to the study and performance of Scottish bagpipe and drum music. The Pasadena Scots perform year-round in competitions, concerts, parades and other community and charitable events throughout Southern California. The Pasadena Scots will be paying tribute to veterans by performing for the 2023 Veteran's Day event on Saturday, November 11, 10:30 a.m., at Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave. Put together by The Pasadena Veterans Day Committee.

Enjoy displays of World War II memorabilia, children's arts & crafts, free food and more!

Condor Squadron flyover at 11:11 a.m. generously sponsored by the office of LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

Special guest speakers include Captain Jessica J. O'Brien, Commanding Officer, Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach.

Participants include Mayor Victor M. Gordo, Pasadena area veterans, Blair Army ROTC, Martin Severance Chapter, NSDAR, the 2D Battalion, 23D Marines and the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

We had a great time at the Seaside Highland Games. Our Grade 3 was the duty band for the drum major competitions. Since then, we've been busy preparing fresh sets as we are happily looking forward to the upcoming season!

We are pleased to announce the completed transition of our grade 3 leadership from Pipe Major Scott Sanger, to the direction of Pipe Major Jennifer DeBarr, while the Sanger family shifts their focus to their new baby!

We’re incredibly proud of the efforts of our members over Labor Day weekend at the Pleasanton Games, and are looking forward to Ventura, the 2nd weekend of October!

Our Grade 3 and Grade 5 bands will be competing at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA on Labor Day Weekend! ☀️
Grade 5 is scheduled to perform at 1:00 pm both days. Grade 3 is scheduled to compete at 3:00 with the Medley on Saturday, and 3:10 on Sunday for the MSR.
