Why does the want to raise property taxes? -Specially at a time where Miamias can barely pay their rent and the cost of living has risen to a point many families struggle in their day to day?

If you want more money here’s what you should do:

1-USE THE LOTTERY MONEY AS IT WAS INTENSED: Miami Dade recidemts were convinces by politicians to approve the lottery under the guise the money would be used as a COMPLIMENT to the Federal and State Funds assigned to our schools. THIS WAS A BIG LIE as the lottery money was used from the get go as a SUPLEMENT NOT A COMPLIMENT as was promised. Therefore the money from the lottery has been used as a substitute for state funding!

If the lottery money, in dade county would have been used as a COMPLIMENT to state funding many wonderful programs qnd classes would have never had to been shut down and the school board would not be begging to
raise our real estaré taxes again. SAY NO! Tell them to use the lottery money as it was intended. Now the sad part is, that even if they do start using the lottery funds as a compliment as they should, we would still have to play catch up as school state funding would start as it was set beach when they were replaced on 1986 and not at the level it would be today. However, since we would have the lottery funds as a COMPLIMENT it would set us on the right path. -

-It’s time we hike those elected to represent us ACCOUNTABLE. They miss use and appropriate funds that do not belong to them.


2-LOWER THE SALARY OF THE SUPERINTENDENT .
