Happy Halloween!

August 29 is National Sport Sampling Day

This day encourages kids, adults and families to try a new sport, play one they haven’t in a long time, or appreciate the sport they already play.

It inspired us to decorate this month’s Theme tree with cute gingerbread people ready to enjoy their favorite sport. These are just some of the thousands of ornaments we collect to decorate trees to bring joy to veterans and seniors this holiday season.

It may be hot outside but now is when we purchase the artificial pine trees that are the backbone of what we're all about. We especially need your donations so that we can continue to create the JoyCatchers trees. Please consider a tax deductible donation now. It means so much!

Happy National Seashell Day and First Day of Summer! This fun day inspired our volunteer to decorate a seashell mini tree. These beauties of the sea make lovely decorations. How will you display your seashells this summer?

Today we take time to reflect and remember those who gave their lives for us and our freedom while serving in the U.S. Military. Our tree is decorated in their memory with poppies, since World War I the symbol of remembrance and hope.

Each year we decorate a tree in honor of our founder's mom in whose memory was founded 18 years ago. This year, a dozen pretty pink roses tucked amongst the pine tree branches are a nod to her favorite flower and color. Remembering your Mom, what is her favorite?

Our wonderful volunteer Lynne has done it again - she coordinated with the elves at JoyCatchers and brought mini trees for each of our caregivers to take home with them! We also have the trees she brought us last year, which will go in our residents’ rooms very soon…🎄

We are grateful for all that the team does, spreading cheer throughout the year by providing these artificial tabletop trees to seniors, veterans and adults in need of joy for various holidays and occasions! Each tree is "created by one person's caring heart and hands, to give to another,” and we think that’s so very special ❤️
