I am so excited that Gretchen Manzer founded Edisto Island Herbals! Gretchen plans to add wild herbs to her products.
Gretchen Manzer has been excelling in our wild herb membership, In Season.
She gave us a beautiful testimonial:
"I cannot count the number of ways I’ve been blessed by the In Season membership. It’s thrilling to be able to identify so many wild, medicinal plants every time I step outside. Knowing how to property utilize them to better ourselves and our community is empowerment we are all meant to have. It’s inspired me to start an herbal products company focused on local medicinal herbs and flowers. Thank you, April, for offering us such an informative and affordable way to reconnect with the knowledge we’ve forgotten."
Thank you, Gretchen!
Definitely keep your eyes open for Gretchen's herbal products, I have her facial moisturizer and it is out of this world! A*o, I love the Echinacea, thyme, and elderberry glycerin that leaves your mouth tingling, in a good way.
If you want to learn wild herbs too, I'd love to connect with you and serve as your guide into the healing world of plants. The plants really do all the talking:).

Did you know that there are fern allies on this Earth that hold special medicine? The fern allies are "living fossils" that have survived and lived for millions of years.
This is a botanical illustration of Lycopodium clavatum, running clubmoss. I just reviewed the medicinal properties of this herb in Medical Botany 1.
It is important for us to know the wide breadth of medicinal plants, so we can connect with wild herbs.
Registration for Medical Botany 2 will open in September 2024. Medical Botany 1 will reopen in February 2025. If you are like, April, what is Medical Botany? Check out our recent podcast:

We have to shift our current paradigm. Over half of our nutrients and calories from plants comes from only 3 plant species-wheat, corn, and rice! We are extremely intelligent beings, capable of foraging up to hundreds to thousands of wild plants. Definitely take the time to learn wild herbs and diversify your diet. Go to wildherbacademy.com to learn more and download this free year-round forage guide to get started today :https://www.wildherbacademy.com/forage-guide
Stay Wild! Stay Human!
Why do we consume only a tiny fraction of the world's edible plants? With over 200,000 edible plant species on earth, why do we concentrate on so few?

Right before opening registration for Medical Botany 1, my daughter got really sick with the flu and a double ear infection.
I had plans to do a free Pine Medicine Immersion and Webinars, etc., to let people know how powerful wild herbs can be when you connect fully and to announce Medical Botany; let people know about this in depth offering.
All of that-the plans-were off the table. Annarose's health was my main focus for two weeks. I didn't offer any immersion or webinars.
I called upon almost all of my plant allies, of which, 96% were wild herbs I foraged and most within 2 miles of my home.
So, although, Medical Botany didn't get a big runaway, I did realize even more why I show up to do this work.
Medical Botany was in ACTION. And I learned A LOT. I learned to trust my instinct, I learned how to build the body with wild herbs instead of weakening the body with Western Medicine.
I was reminded that the diagnostics for Western Medicine are awesome, but wild plant medicine can heal the body more gently and efficiently.
I was reminded why I am here typing this announcement for Medical Botany.
This is the course that I put my heart and soul into. This is my purpose. This is my calling. This is my Dharma. I am thankful.
I invite you to join me in knowing the depth, diversity, and extent of Wild Herb Medicine.
I invite you to join me in Medical Botany 1.
Registration will be open for 2 more days.
