Trawling through websites … the furthest we got was saving other peoples ideas… somehow it always seemed to hard. But there is something glorious about seeing our little ones in clothes that we have made. Sure you can trawl down to the shops (or mall usually) and buy cheap generic clothing and sit back and admire your loved one.. but there is nothing quite like making a one off dress, top, shorts
or even a headband for your little monkey. telling your love bug that you made something just for them… but seeing the delight in their eyes as they realise that it’s just for them…. Well .. that’s what memories are made of. Now we have honestly never sewn actual clothing before this. But cleaning out the wardrobes in time for spring… as a pile of business shirts mounted up.. it occurred to us.. these would make simply lovely little frocks – with just a little schoozing. And little girls love their daddies… so win win win really. And so Run and Play was born. We have designed and made patterns to turn business shirts into super cute little girl dresses/tops/pants and jumpsuits. The goal is to make them super easy… a sewing machine helps but isn’t essential, and any of our patterns can be whipped up in about an hour. Magic. You can make them super simple, super easy… or inject a little more magic by adding some special extra touches.
