So I fully planned to film all games at my son’s Lacrosse tournament in Virginia this weekend….the heat shut that right down. I got two games into it and my gear started flaking out. Next time I’ll remember no shooting games during heatwaves :(

So my office is out of commission for at least two weeks, so I think I am going to setup my Mac Studio up in a corner somewhere and make some serious headway into learning Blender.

Feeling a bit blue today, my creative space is being dismantled. We are having upstairs carpet replaced and hardwoods put in……so everything had to come out. Including my whole office. 2 weeks of packing came down to this….movers are filling up the garage. I managed to fit most of my office in the bathroom. Soon it will be time to put it all back…😄

Tuesday night Lacrosse game, glad to get out and try out this new Manfrotto tripod. After 34 years of wear and tear my old fluid head got messed up last week. So trying out this new one before my video shoot with members of the Davidson NC Firehouse next week…works out good!

First game for my son’s HS Lacrosse team….once again I committed to recording all the games. Since this is school not competitive travel team I thought I would shoot from top of press box…..I love shooting from the top…no one gets in your way :)

So I have always wanted to be able to do my own high end 3D animation in house. I finally got serious. First I started to push my 3D After Effects usage up with Cinema 4D! I also loaded Blender onto my workstation ….I’ll post some stuff as this new venture unfolds…have a great 2024 everyone

Shooting my son full games again for last tournament of the summer. Kind of close to my old haunts. We are playing in Gainesville all weekend. In the fall we might have a tournament in Kennesaw….that would be awesome.

My sons Lacrosse Tournament this week is in Asheville. I normally bring a camera and get some footage of my son…just to play around and film…but when some of his teammates asked for someone to film the whole game, I decided I would film every game start to finish. Filming lacrosse is hard to film. Soccer, Football are easy compared to this….I’m getting the hang of it :)

Just found this video on an old workstation. Wow...I miss this place! My old subterranean office in the basement back in Atlanta. It was glorious...from the industrial shelving packed with all my video gear and equipment to my 2 wrap around desks with 4 diff workstation running. My beloved 50" Plasma hanging from the floor joist with wire..because flat screens back then kinda weighed a metric ton. ( cant forget the perfectly laid out track lighting...(my wife laughs at my affection for track lights) It was a different time then... and now I think of all the projects I did and the place I designed and executed them in..so fondly.
