Srebrenica. A designated "safe zone" under UN protection, saw an onslaught of violence between 11th - 22nd July, 1995. 8000 Bosniak men and boys were killed by the Bosnia Serb Army of Republica Srpska (VRS).
This was not the only genocide the Bosnian people saw during the war with areas besieged, ex*****on of men and children, r**e and abuses of women and fetuses. With the international community absent, a story we've seen time again.
29 years on, the trauma for the Bosnian people has not faded and lessons for the rest of the world remain to be learned.
JOIN US, as we come together to tell and uphold our own stories. Without denial or dilution. Screening of the documentary The Fog of Srebrenica, followed by a discussion with the director Samir Mehanovic.
