so many dogs getting lost when walking๐
No-one likes to read of yet another dog lost in the mountains, and of course it's even more distressing for the owner and the dog itself. Aww we met Rubbles at the beach in Sandend and we gave him one of our cooling vests. Doesnโt he look smart posing for a pic ๐His owner was able to hydrate it with a dip in the sea to keep him cool and it can be washed in the washing machine and hydrated next time with a bottle of water๐งthanks for sending us a pic. Glad Rubbles is happy with it ๐

Hold your hand on the pavement for seven seconds, if itโs uncomfortable or you canโt keep it there for the full time then itโs definitely too hot for your dog to walk on.
We have seen so many dogs being walked or taken to parks and the beach in this lovely weather but itโs extremely dangerous for our furry friends.
Instead walk them in the early morning or late evening. During the day provide them with plenty of water, shade and cooling treats.

Pointer dog, name Huxley, newly rescued and quite elderly, ran away from Lochhills/Innes area at around 6.30pm. Has collar and microchip. Please keep your eyes open for him as his hearing isnโt great. Thank you ๐
