It is always gratifying when financial information and transactions are recorded, accounts are balanced, deadlines are met, and clients are assured that their books are up to date. This places businesses at the starting block when they are determining how to leap forward.
Over the years I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients including a printing company, travel agency, legal firm, marketing company, IT consultant, music royalty company, contractor, not for profit organization and others. Although standards and accounting practices are the same for all businesses, it has been very interesting to see how each particular industry can bring its own flavour and style to the bookkeeping process.
My experience has spanned all facets of the accounting cycle including receivables, payables, payroll, bank reconciliations, in trust accounts, government reports and remittances (DAS, GST /TVQ, corporate tax and instalment payments, CNT, CNESST), financial statements, year end file prep for CPA and producing income tax slips and summaries.
