Goldie Fest II starts at 2pm on Saturday, September 16 at The Destination Place,

"Goldie" is the infamous local UFO of Anza. This phenomena dates back as far as the late 1880's when the first sighting of a golden orb was documented.
Goldie Fest II is an opportunity for paranormal buffs to come together to trade stories and experiences while having a fun time.
Two guest speakers will be on hand to discuss UFOs and alien abductions.
Guest Speaker - 4pm Wil Wakely from San Diego MUFON group. Discussing regional sightings of UFO/ET. This is the San Diego Chapter of the worlds' oldest and largest UFO investigative body.
Guest Speaker - 5pm Rupert is an alien contact specialist. He has a 1st class honors degree in Physics with Space Science and Technology from the University of Leicester, England.
As well as researching X-Ray Astrophysics in England, Rupert has spent his entire life researching paranormal phenomena. Now, he organizes alien contact events and teaches a
wide range of spiritual and paranormal courses on everything from spiritual healing to alien morality. Rupert is the leader of the alien contact groups Global CE5 and California CE5.
Activities planned are telescopes available for viewing the stars after nightfall.
Glow in the dark UFO Frisbee golf games and then come record your paranormal story with Annika Knoppel for a Fika with Annika radio episode.
Several other-worldly backdrops will be installed for selfie opportunities.
"Common Grounds" food truck will be serving food.
Free for the public to attend. Free for vendors of the paranormal persuasion to set up at 2pm.

County waste department offers free household hazardous-waste collection Saturday for Anza
The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources has scheduled a free household hazardous-waste collection event Saturday (8/19) at the Anza Transfer Station. The collection is open to all Riverside County residents.
The department provides an opportunity for Riverside County residents to keep hazardous waste out of the county landfills and ensure it is properly managed. The event will accept residentially generated household hazardous waste from Riverside County residents only. Waste from businesses or non-profits will not be accepted. Typical waste includes used motor oil, paint, antifreeze, household and automotive batteries, pesticides, cleaning products, sharps (needles/syringes or lancets), unused medication (except controlled substances), fluorescent lamps, and electronic waste such as televisions, computers, VCRs and telephones. Limit the amount of waste transported to no more than 15 gallons, or 125 pounds maximum per vehicle. Individual containers should be no larger than five gallons nor weigh more than 50 pounds.
The collection will not accept explosives, radioactive material, ammunition, asbestos, compressed-gas cylinders over 40 pounds, or infectious or medical waste other than sharps.
The event is subject to cancellation during inclement weather or for other hazardous conditions as determined by the county. The event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Anza Transfer Station, 40329 Terwilliger Road, in Anza.
