Some symptoms of a CCL rupture in your dog may include...

πΎ Thick/firm feel of the joint
πΎ Hind leg extension while sitting
πΎ Weight shifted to one side of the body while standing

Meet Jameson and his friend Gus!
Jameson has used his OrthoDog Brace for 6 months is back to normal. His mom reports, "No More Frisbee or excessive jumping is allowed. But he is chasing squirrels, rough-housing with his brother, 2 year old Gus. We tell him in the morning 'time to get dressed' and he knows what that means. No fuss at all with wearing the Brace as he knows it is time to walk and have fun!"
Jameson is Pet Therapy Dog who visits a local Nursing Facility twice monthly. The residents love him! πΎ π π
Thank You OrthoDog! We highly recommend your Brace.

Ortho Dog offers a Dual Cruciate Care Knee Brace for pups suffering from recent/acute CCL tears in both knees! π πΎ
We only recommend bracing both legs if there are current bilateral tears in both knees. Bracing both legs can makes ambulation more difficult, since bracing limits flexion and extension in the knee. For a dog with acute bilateral injuries, this is absolutely beneficial!
But, if your dog doesnβt have acute bilateral injuries, bracing both knees can make adapting to wearing a brace more challenging. Our brace is unique in that when the injured knee is braced, it takes pressure off of the other leg.

Our Story
Ortho Dog was created by two womenβa massage therapist and a chiropractorβwith a profound, shared love for dogs.
βWhen our best friends, Spirit and Zoie, needed help for wrist pain and limping, we couldn't find it. Wanting our dogs to be able to run, play, walk and hike with us again, we put together our knowledge of anatomy and musculature and brainstormed a hopeful solution.
Elizabeth designed the first brace, the Wrist Wrap, then refined and refined it until it worked. Next, we designed the Hip Hound to aid our many dog friends who experienced hip pain. Once successful, we tested the braces on friend's dogs and then followed up with veterinarian consultations.
We are proud to introduce our Ortho Dog orthopedic braces, to help restore the joy of pain-free activity for your beloved dog companion. Our braces were developed out of our love of dogs and our work in chiropractic care and massage therapy. It has been an exciting, learning and gratifying process.β
