January 2017 - the year to get fitter and healthier! Start as you mean to go on!! But from Jan 2nd of course... never Jan 1st βπΌ This is surely a widely accepted understanding?! π
Girls who are worried - 'I don't want to lift weights as they will make me bulky and manly' ππΌββοΈπͺπΌ...
..Not for the average woman!
It takes many women (who WANT this goal), hours of dedicated training and strict eating every day to get such a physique and even then it often doesn't come easy. Incorporating some varied weight routines / resistance training into your workout is fine if you are aiming for a little definition and muscle tone ππΌ
No stress π
Mastered the take-away-shake consistency ππΌππ

I've managed to lose 3kg of fat mass but have gained nearly 2kg of muscle mass so MY WEIGHT HAS BARELY CHANGED but my body is looking so different!!! I am only 1kg lighter and I did have baby weight that I wanted to shift ππ»

Ignore the scales when it comes to weight alone - unless you want to punish yourself for gaining 'weight'. Weight does not = fat!!

Just shaking things up a bit at breakfast time to work at upping my intake of daily essential nutrients π πΏπ
Start working on how you feel on the inside to really begin to see results in how you perceive yourself on the outside β€οΈ

How do you plan on working towards reaching your daily recommended intake of vitamins and minerals? π€πππ
πΏ

If you can obtain these results from fresh fruit, vegetables and other food sources then ππΌ but if like me, you struggle for time and ideas, why not add a shake to your daily routine? Packed with essential vitamins, minerals and proteins π

Breakfast for Mummy: breakfast for Olly π
Getting into the habit of eating right so that we can be good role models to our little boy πΆπΌ
Shake and cereal for me today as I have a busy day ahead; I'm going to the gym and I just want the extra nutrients! πΏπͺπΌ
So here is the last but probably the most accurate comparison I have to share from early on after having my baby boy. Here I am vs now at π
The reason I am sharing this is, as always, to help encourage anybody who has a desired weight goal in mind. Whether it is to lose, maintain or even gain weight πͺπΌPersonally for me, I am happy with the stubborn weight I have managed to shift (and no, I was not trying to lose it just 3 weeks after giving birth! This pic is just for comparative purposes only). My personal goal now is to continue working on maintaining and also gaining a little more muscle definition because this is how and when I feel good! Not because this is how I think all women should look (at all) βπΌοΈWork with your own body and what YOU want for YOU! I am naturally athletic and to some it may not look how they personally would want to look but that's okay because this isn't for them, it's for me ππΌ
My journey so far has not been overnight nor have I lost 5lbs in a week or expected my nutritional choices via π to work miracles. It has taken time, dedication and although it is now built in to my day to day routine and I don't think about it - it was hard at first!!! π«ππππ©
My journey now and for the last few weeks has no longer been about weight loss as much as it is just feeling better in myself, continuing to be active (which I have always enjoyed) and embracing a healthier and happier lifestyle that I can share with my little boy as he grows.
And if you are unsure - yes I still eat out, have the occasional drink and all of the other things that people don't want to sacrifice. I'm just a bit more aware now and don't indulge 3 or 4 times a week π
Again as always, just a brief reminder to be happy with your body inside and out however you feel happy and confident! π
π½ββοΈππΌ Only you will know that feeling! As long as you are looking after yourself and you are in general good health - appearances are only skin deep! Go for a deeper, less superficial beauty and confidence πΌ
Please like or share my page and posts to help reach people with similar goals and interests π€π€π€
Oliver is loving learning how to swim and stay safe in the water. He particularly loved today's board surfing ππΌπ
He's now much more confident and is enjoying being active! It's never too early to start ππ»
