The air belongs to everyone, and everyone deserves to breathe clean air.
At an event attended by children and others who depend upon having clean air to breathe, hopefully only non-wood-burning alternatives such as propane fire pits were used at this event. If so, it seems like an encouraging sign that awareness might be growing about the importance of .

On Monday evening, Richard Robertson, a Forest Campaigner for Stand.Earth in British Columbia, spoke to us about the destructive impact of the biomass industry on precious forests in Canada.
These forests have been protecting indigenous people and the planet for centuries – yet, they are rapidly being destroyed by Drax and the wood pellet industry it props up.
It’s time to take a stand with Richard and Stand.Earth in their efforts to protect forests, communities, and the climate. 🌳💚

Wood burner plan sparks environmental concerns at town council planning meeting Plans to install a wood burner flue in a Romsey home have had an objection due to environmental concerns.
Doctors and Scientists Against Wood Smoke Pollution Wood burning is a major source of harmful air pollution in many communities, yet there is a critical lack of awareness about this serious public health and environmental issue.
"Once the health hazards of second hand cigarette smoke were firmly established, sweeping ordinances throughout countries were passed to protect people from second hand cigarette smoke. Scientifically we are at that stage now with wood burning. We don't prohibit smoking in public venues because of what it does to levels of atmospheric community pollution, we do so because no one should be forced to breathe someone else's cigarette smoke. For all the same reasons, no one should be forced to breathe someone else's wood smoke."
