Creative Mya
My name is Mya and I am 6 years old. When I grow up I want to be an artist & an author. I have started my own greeting card & gift tag business! Thank you! Mya
My name is Mya and I am 6 and I love to draw! I also like making people happy and my drawings seem to do that. So I started my own Greeting Card & Gift Tag business. I am in Grade One, take Ballet and Swim Lessons. When I am free I am almost always drawing! Typically my prices are as follows;
* Greeting Card w Envelope $3.50 (includes shipping to you)
* Gift Tags $1.50 (+ shipping) per bag of 5
I spent Saturday at the Sunnyside School Fall Fair! I was one of three student vendor tables. I sold my tags, another friend sold homemade greeting cards and another friend sold homemade charcuterie boards. It was a beautiful day!
I had a busy and exciting day at This Girl Can Expo on Saturday. My mom surprised with me with a sign that I hung on the table and we wrapped some gifts to show how to use the tags. And, I sold most of my tags!
Who would like free tickets to This Girl Can?
5 days until !! I have been sick with the stomach flu and unable to do any work on my tags for the last 3 days!! I have made 482 tags so far and I hope to get to my goal of 600 before Saturday!!
I have some free tickets if anyone wants some. Please let me know!
September 14th is only 20 days away. That means in less than 3 weeks I will be at the This Girl Can Expo selling my gift tags!!
I am still working hard on finishing and bagging 600 tags worth. It's a big job and my family is helping me now.
My sister was cutting twine for me tonight. My mom measured out the length for her between two pieces of blue tape. And she just cut, and cut and cut. My mom tied, and tied and tied!
I have a big goal for the expo....to bring 150-200 bags of Christmas Tags that will be available for purchase.
I try to work on my tags for 2-4 hours per week. Each tag is original. They are hand drawn, hand coloured, hand cut, hand glittered then tied with twine.
Here is a photo of some of tonights work.
Glitter dries fast when its 31 degrees outside!
Getting ready for , September 2019
I just applied to in Calgary in September. I hope they like my application. If I am selected I will have to start making more tags right away!
Finishing up an order for someone who needed 6 bags of Christmas Tags! Once this is done I have 100 more tags to complete before my online orders are filled. My next order is for someone who would like 12 bags!!
Today was a great day, my first Vendor Booth. I brought 32 bags of tags (5 in each bag) and I sold a total of 54 bags! I have a lot of orders to fill!
It was a busy night getting ready for the Sunnyside School Fall Fair 2017! My sister helped me bag up the tags while I ironed my table cloth.
Full steam ahead at Creative Mya Headquarters! Getting ready for my first Vendor Booth for the Sunnyside School Fall Fair later this month!
I finished my first order and delivered it today to one of the tellers at TD Bank. I met her in January when I went to deposit money into my account. She paid me back then and I delivered it today. First order of the season. My next order is going across the ocean!
Here are some photos of a new project I have been working on for my Teacher, Note Cards. I gave them to her at the end of the school year as a Thank You gift.
I had lots of fun filling an order for 20 folded Valentine's Day Cards. I got lots of supplies from a family friend, all shades of pink & grey. I also did some red and white cards with my favourite ladybug scrap paper. I hope you like them!
I made my own 7th Birthday Party Invitations! It's a My Little Pony Party. My mom took me to Michael's and we found a piece of My Little Pony scrap book paper. She made me a flower stencil and I traced and cut out My Little Pony Flowers for the front. Inside, I glued all the information (my mom printed it all out on bright green paper). I can make Birthday Invitations for you too. Just send me a message!
My Mom did the coolest thing for me. Now I can put my contact information on the cards I create for people. I am so excited!
Here is an example of the inside of a Thank You card I am making for a friend of my Moms. I have fun printing this way.
I have started to play around with some Valentine's Ideas. I have been cutting out hearts on scrapbook paper and glueing them onto cards stock.
Today my Mom and I and my sister sat on the couch and did some brainstorming for the next card occasion, Valentines Day. This is what we came up with so far. I like hearts. I am excited to get started and try some examples.
Merry Christmas from Creative Mya!
One of my orders this month was for "Christmas Hockey Gift Tags". I wasn't sure what to draw. My mom taught me how to draw skates, sticks & pucks and this! I got frustrated with how to do the 'c' and the flames, but then we used a pencil and an eraser first and it really helped.
A custom order for "Christmas Cats".
This year Mya is asking Santa for a "My Little Pony, Equestria Girls, Rainbow Rocks, Rainbow Dash" (a very long title for a single toy). She thought she would draw Santa a picture of it along with a little note. Sometimes it is easier to see her detailing on a bigger creation. Mya will be busy finishing this years gift tags over the next few days and hopes to be sending the tags through the mail no later than Monday!
Hi Everyone. Creative Mya's Mom here. Mya is happily finishing up all the orders we have confirmed so far. Production has slowed a bit, not because she had the stomach flu (and not because she then gave it to me, then to her sister), but because her tags have taken a bit of a turn......a turn to more detail. She got inspired by a Gingerbread House, then by Rudolph and Clarice. Who are the lucky ones to get these?
This is a poinsettia I worked very hard on. I got a lot of gift tags done today. I am going to send 7 orders (or more) to the mailbox this weekend.
These are Candy Pop Gift Tags with glitter. I like how they turned out. I was sick on the weekend with the stomach flu. I couldn't get a lot of orders done. But I am better now.
Because Snow-Ladies need eyelashes (and some glitter).
This is a new creation that I call Candy Cane Lollipops. First I do a circle then I do a stick and then I do the swirls. I will choose a colour (like red) and colour part of the lollipop, then I ask my Mom to fill the rest in with glitter (like gold or silver). Here is a sneak peak but I will post the finished product this weekend.
This weekend was very productive. My mom helped me package up 5 orders! Off to the post office tomorrow to send off two orders, one to Ontario and one to the UK! I had to look on the globe to figure out where the UK was. I can't believe my Gift Tags are going to cross an Ocean!
