What a great day we had yesterday at the Ballan Cup down at Geelong. Plenty of action on the track and lots of locals in attendance.

Results from the 2023 World Ploughing Championships in Latvia. Australian Scott Loughridge finished 11th in the conventional ploughing and Brett Loughridge finished 20th in the reversible ploughing.

Our Vintage Rally, Sawp Meet and Fergie Fire Up flyers for 2024. The Vintage Rally is Sunday 18th February, the Swap Meet is on Saturday 2nd March and the Fergie Fire Up is Sunday 17th March.
We had our annual spring tractor trek today. The fine weather made for a wonderful trip around the district with a BBQ lunch. Thanks to our trip organisers and lunch helpers for a great trip.
Don’t forget the earlier start for those that are attending the club tractor trek tomorrow. Drivers briefing at 9:15am sharp.

A nice trip in the countryside today. We travelled to Dunolly in central VIC for a look around and visited a car collection. We the had lunch with the local car club. A great day with lots to see and fellowship with other enthusiasts. Thanks goes out to our tour organisers and hosts.
Work is progressing on our Gardner diesel engine.
It was rescued after sitting on the bottom of the sea for two years,
Not withstanding the bore is corroded, and the pistons are proving hard to get out.
There will be a steam train in Ballan this morning, stopping for a short time, arriving at 11:05am and departing at 11:34am heading to Ballarat.

A great day at the Lockington Heritage Complex and Vintage Rally yesterday. Plenty to look at and a nice day for a look around the district.
The NHMA rally at Mudgee was a great event , plenty of different machinery and displays.
Yesterday, we sadly said goodbye to our dear friend and Club Treasurer Evan Ould, who suddenly passed away on the 21st of March.
We will dearly miss his presence at the club and at all of our events. He was a true friend and gentleman who had a passion for Fergie Tractors. May his stories and knowledge be passed on. May we continue to share all of the great memories and may he rest peacefully.

A big crowd today at the Ballan Autumn Festival where the club participated with a display. Everyone had a great time with plenty of enquires about our displays.
Ballan Autumn Festival is on tomorrow (Sunday), we will be setup in Fisken Street between the Main Street and Simpson Street.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our swap meet yesterday. We had a great day with our friends from the Ballarat Engine & Machinery Preservation Society. It was a great turnout of stall holders and buyers with the weather on our side as well. Thanks to the volunteers on the day and we look forward to next year. Saturday 4th March, our swap meet is on. We have had several enquires about stalls setting up on Friday, we would prefer Saturday morning if possible.
We have had a great weekend at our Vintage Rally and Tractor Pull here in Ballan, a good crowd and the weather was fantastic. We would like to thank our visiting exhibitors and sponsors. But most of all thank you to our wonderful volunteers who made the day so successful. Here’s a quick video of our Ruston engine which turns 100 years old this year. A little busy to take many photos.
