With the same attention to detail and fueled by the rock n’ roll that courses through his veins, his acclaimed first installation in Soho, NY, “The Smoking Series ” featured repurposed images of legendary icons such as Keith Richards, David Bowie and Mick Jagger on canvas, wood, metal and light boxes. Each piece is meticulously created by Mr. Houghton with his signatory “wallpapering” and stretching method. His other series include Animal, F1, and Pin ups, each with his signature skull and raven imagery. His shows have been “the place to be” with the who’s who of the fashion and music world in attendance. Houghton has now embarked on his newest journey, synthesizing all of his artistic and design talents to create one-of-a-kind environments and experiences, transporting and immersing visitors into the world of rock-punk-wild gypsy hedonism.
