My Senior and I got some more work done on his parking spot tonight. It’s not completely finished, but we’re getting there. ❤️

Cue the proud tears! TBobby took his Graduation and Senior Yearbook pictures today. I could not be more proud of this young man for his academics, but also for his outward professions of his faith and his handsome good looks. What a blessing he is!

2 Timothy 1:7

The sweetest seventeen year old young lady came to my office today with her dad to get home and auto insurance as well as discuss life insurance options. We had had a great visit and as we were getting finished up with their paperwork she asked me, “Ms. Chisum, may I ask you a question?” I told her ABSOLUTELY and so she proceeded and asked, “what does 2 Timothy 1:7 say?”

And so I recited the verse to her that says, “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

She and her dad listened and studied my face as I recited it for her. Then I continued to tell her that we can not plan or foresee what is ahead of us, but what we can do is choose our reaction to those things by the tools He has given us and the one thing that is not of Him is fear.

Her dad grinned as he looked at his daughter when she sat back in her chair to think about what I told her more and he & I proceeded to finalize the policies.

Today marked my first full year at Texas Farm Bureau as an Insurance Agent and I have been greatly blessed in this first year. My Father has provided so many amazing blessings in this Chapter of my Life. Many times fear could have overtaken my sight, but He reminds me moment by moment that fear is not the tool He gives me. He gives me power, love and self-control.

Thank you, Father, for the chance to spread your word today, Lord, and for providing so much for myself & my kids in a safe place where I can feel comfortable to share my faith with a precious 17 yr old and her dad.

Happy 3rd day of Spring, Sweet Friends! I hope you all are enjoying a little bit or a lotta bit of sunshine today and those cooler morning temps to be followed by some warmer afternoon temps!

That got me thinking.
How many of y’all enjoy a sweater over a dress or with a pair of shorts in the spring?
It is my favorite way to layer so that later in the day I can switch it up and tie it over my shoulders, around my waist or take it off completely when it gets warmer. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

I have a gorgeous custom painted Bible going out to a very special Mom that has had a tough year. Lots of prayers of comfort, healing and peace go out to her.

Not much has changed these days. I wake up early, work out, get kids to school, make sure all of my peeps have adequate insurance coverage, run kiddos to their things, workout, feed kiddos, help them with their homework and learn choreo for a cheer tryout, clean up then sling some paint on everything including Prom decorations. 😆❤️ And I love every bit of it all!!

Oh, my Mama would love how much fun my Girly & I have been having with rollers! From Velcro, to Hot Rollers, they all make me think of my Mom. There was not a day that she did not roll her hair… and I am for it!!
