Spain will not require coronavirus tests or quarantines for travelers arriving with ‘vaccine passports’
Covid-19 vaccine passports, which the European Union is officially calling “Digital Green Certificates,” will allow citizens of Europe to enter Spain without having to quarantine or take a coronavirus test. That’s according to an announcement made on Thursday by Alfredo González, the general secretary of Digital Health, Information and Innovation at the country’s National Health System. The document will come in the form of a free QR code, will be available by the end of June, and will allow for “more people” to arrive in the country “in a safer manner,” he explained.
The Health Ministry has been insisting that the document will facilitate movement, but had not yet clarified exactly what it would consist of. González explained that it will be a digital and physical document, with a QR code that will allow a country’s authorities to check three different pieces of information: if the bearer has been vaccinated, if they have had the coronavirus and if they have had a test that confirms they are not currently infected with the virus.
For the purposes of the Digital Green Certificates, a person will be considered to have immunity during the period after a positive test spanning from the 11th day to the sixth month. In terms of the vaccines, it will be necessary in the future to establish how long their effects last. This will be evaluated bit by bit, González explained.

Mijas begins the construction of an olympic pool in La Cala
"This week is going to be important for the sporting future of our city with the beginning of the construction of this covered Olympic swimming pool, which will be a before and after for the residents and for the federated and professional athletes of our municipality, some facilities that are going to make a very important quality leap ”, declared Josele González.
The works have been awarded to the company ACP Infraestructuras for 3.6 million euros and an ex*****on period of 17 months on a 2,900-square-meter plot of land.
The Councilor for Infrastructure, José Carlos Martín, has stated that if the weather conditions and the pandemic allow it, it will be completed by mid-2022 . "This 50-meter-glass pool is going to become the most modern in the province due to its technical characteristics, space, the use of energy efficiency and, above all, because of that high-quality leap that it will give room for top-level sporting events ".
José Carlos Martín explained that the multipurpose building of the sports complex will have three floors adapted and accessible for people with reduced mobility so that all residents can enjoy all the spaces.
In this way, the residents of La Cala will no longer have to move to Las Lagunas to practice water sports because they will be able to do so in their urban center with this new infrastructure.
BREAKING NEWS. ANDALUCIA - NEW REGULATIONS
Our regional President Juan Moreno limits meetings to four people and closes the hotel and retail trade at 6:00 p.m.
The new measures will take effect at midnight from Saturday to Sunday
We must stay within our own province which in our case is Malaga.
At the moment curfew will continue to be 10pm unless Pedro Sanchez's government says otherwise.
f the Spanish Government does not authorize the curfew at 8:00 p.m., the Junta de Andalucía will keep it between 10p.m. and 6:a.m., Moreno said, who has justified the new restrictions due to the "alarming" increase in infections, especially for the British strain, with the record two days ago, when there were 6,882 cases, and a closing figure today, of 6,664 cases.

STORM NEWS.
TWO PEOPLE HAVE DIED in the storm which dragged their car down the fuengirola river.
A woman, in her 50s, and a man have died in Mijas this Saturday because of the storm. According to the Andalusian Emergency 112 service and the Andalusian Government, the bodies of both have been found this Saturday morning, after being trapped in a car that was dragged by the Fuengirola river, in the Esparragal Park area. The lifeless body of the woman was found early this morning, while the man was still being searched for. His body was located hours later by the emergency services.
According to sources at the scene, when trying to cross the Fuengirola river, the car in which the woman and three other occupants were traveling, including two young people who were rescued, was dragged by the water, being trapped inside a vehicle at the mercy of the strong current of the river. A danger that had been warned yesterday. Mijas City Council announced early on Friday that all the steps of the Fuengirola river and La Manzanilla stream were being cut off due to the forecast of abundant rainfall to avoid a tragedy like the one that has occurred.
Last night (Friday) most of the entrances to La Cala de Mijas were completely cut off and the Post Office looked to be flooded by the adjacent river.
