Its always tricky to pin down stand out music each year... Well for me, it's definately been easier this year thanks to the release of Volcano from the mighty Keeping the vibes burning hot in 2023! 🎶

It's rare now, in the days of the shuffle button and AI playlists to find an album that you want to sit and listen to from start to finish, but this one magnificently hits the spot! 🔀

Honourable mention to for his debut release this year too. Can't wait to hear what 2024 has to offer! 🎧

What's been your go to music this year?

I know I know! I'm rubbish at social media... but 2023 has been another great year for celebrations!! 🥂🎉

THANK YOU to all the couples that have trusted me to helm their big day this year, and to all the amazing Cornish wedding suppliers I've met along the way, it's been a cracking year!

From beaches to barns, I've had a bunch of banging sessions over the last 12 months and can't wait to get back to it in 2024.

That's a wrap for me this year (well almost!) and I'll try and remember to share more of my adventures over the coming months.

If you're looking for a DJ to rock your party in 2025 or 2026 then give me a shout and I'll be happy to chat.

Wishing you all a happy & healthy 2024!

Big Love. Robin. xx

🪩 Disco balls, shoulder dances and a failing wedding dress! All the feels at the end of H&M’s epic Nancarrow Farm wedding last night! 🕺

Well, that's a wrap on 2022 for me!!

THANK YOU to all the lovely couples and companies that have hosted me this year, and to all the fantastic Cornish wedding suppliers that I've been lucky to work alongside, it's been a (busy) blast!

From a dozen dancing vicars to naked, cartwheeling brides and Indian fusion extravaganzas... on dancefloors in messy, muddy fields and gorgeous Cornish beaches, to polished stately homes... I've had some incredible events this year!

Have an awesome Christmas with your loved ones and I'll be back at it in the new year.

Big love.

Robin. x

Love at First Dance 02/12/2022

Rule 1: Choose a song that is special to you regardless of genre/tempo etc
Rule 2: Don't over think it
Rule 3: If you haven't got a song, it doesn't matter...
Rule 4: Enjoy yourselves and dance like on one's watching! :)

Love at First Dance The first dance: a dread for some, a delight for others. Either way, thinking about it in advance will ensure your celebrations start on the right foot

Fun reading from the gov.uk website 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ll see you all in June when dancing returns...

Entertainment

Dancing should not be permitted due to the increased risk of transmission and dancefloors may be repurposed for additional customer seating or other relevant purposes, ensuring this is in line with the social distancing guidelines. The only exception to this is the couple’s ‘first dance’.

Socially distanced outdoor performances to a live audience, with strict social distancing arrangements in place, can take place in line with the guidance on performing arts from Step 2, and can take place indoors from Step 3.

To minimise risk of droplet and aerosol transmission from the combined attendees including the performer/s, audience, wedding party and associated staff and site providers, outdoor performances are always preferable. Where any indoor performances are planned they should be limited in size, implement strict social distancing rules, only take place where high rates of air flow can be maintained, should use amplification systems to create volume rather than natural voices, and the audience cannot join in. A solo or small number of performers is preferable and all should be socially distanced. Those planning the wedding should consider how the performers will impact the total size of the wedding party and therefore the safety of their event, although those working at the event are not included in the limits on attendees at each step.

All venues should ensure that steps are taken to mitigate the increased risk of virus transmission associated with aerosol production from raised voices, such as when speaking loudly or singing loudly, particularly in confined and poorly ventilated spaces. This includes, but is not limited to, lowering the volume of background music, and refraining from playing music or broadcasts that may encourage shouting, particularly if played at a volume that makes normal conversation difficult. Evidence on the most effective steps that can be taken to limit the transmission of the virus continues to be reviewed. This guidance may be updated in the future in response to changing scientific understanding.
