After the grand success of the first edition, we decided to expand our horizons with theme based puja (B**g Connection - 2015, Aranyer Din Ratri (Days and Nights in the Forest) - 2016). Ekti Smaraniya Jatra - Our Story
In Fall 2014, a bunch of BS/MS/PhD students and alumni decided to start a casual and homely puja at UT Arlington. After the grand success of the first edition, we decided to expand our horizons with theme based puja (B**g Connection - 2015, Aranyer Din Ratri (Days and Nights in the Forest) - 2016). Due to limited resources, the second edition was invite-only puja. From 2016, we went public. Over the years, the authentic Pujo Mahabhog that is served to 100+ people approximately has comprised of Bhaja Moong Dal-er Khichudi, Labra, Bandha Kophir Torkari, Aloo-r Dum, Chutney (Tomato-Khejur-Aam Shotto/Pineapple), Mishti Doi, Bhaja Bhuji (Beguni/Aloo Bhaja), Payesh and Komla Bhog/Gulab Jamun.
