The Collaboration to Help Assure No Child is Exposed to Substances (CHANCES) works to help screen pre C.H.A.N.C.E.S.

provides training, screening and educational materials to all prenatal providers in Luna Co., New Mexico. These instruments and materials are used to screen for substance abuse in women and girls who are pregnant or at risk for pregnancy. C.H.A.N.C.E.S.provides for two substance abuse treatment groups in Luna County. One is within our community and one is at the local detention center.

If you are pregnant and finding it hard to stop drinking alcohol, help is available. You can reach out to someone you trust who can help you find the support you need. A doctor, health care professional, or alcohol and other drug worker can help you to safely stop drinking.

It is never too late to stop alcohol use during pregnancy. Stopping alcohol use, with support from a health professional, is safest for your health and that of your developing baby.
