Diana Lamar will be singing Elle in “La Voix humaine” and La Dame in “La Dame de Monte-Carlo by Francis Poulenc in a new production staged by RENATA SCOTTO and conducted by MATTEO BELTRAMI with the ORCHESTRA SINFONICA DI SANREMO.

The performances will be held at the FORTEZZA DEL PRIAMÀR DI SAVONA - Teatro dell’opera giocosa on Saturday 15th of July at 21.30
and on the 16th of July at 21.00 at the Teatro dell'Opera del Casinò di Sanremo.

Debut in Verona! 🇮🇹🎶❤️
Dear friends, 2023 has more surprises in store for me than I thought. Yesterday was certainly one of them, I got to breathe life into Lady Macbeth, Madama Butterfly, Salomé and Manon Lescaut, making my debut in one of my favorite cities in the world: Verona, at the Teatro Filarmonico for a concert in collaboration with Fondazione Arena di Verona.

In a couple of sentences I will try to give you a taste of the experience.

I was accompanied by the outstanding pianist Roberto Corlianò, an extraordinary pianist, musician, arranger AND composer. Singing with him felt like singing with an orchestra and I feel so lucky to have had the joy to share the stage with him. I have a feeling that this will not be our last collaboration 😉

The concert felt like a big celebration, it was the last one for this season and we were lucky to also have onstage with us, 3 musicians from the orchestra of Arena di Verona :
🎻Günther Sanin, the Konzertmeister of the Arena di Verona and one of the most limpid, disciplined and free sounds I have heard on the violin in a long time,

Sara Airoldi: the first cello of the Arena di Verona, a charming, beautiful lady with a splendid sound and great sense of phrasing,
And Giampiero Sobrino, the first Clarinette of the Arena di Verona whose true love for opera and singing could be heard in every note of his exquisite musicianship.

🎤🌟The evening was presented by Davide da Como who knows so much about opera that I was thrilled to discover many new things about the pieces that were performed.

🎭🎶❤️🙏🏻I thank the Veronese public for your warmth and love, I felt so supported by your presence and attention. I loved singing in this beautiful hall!!

Photo : taken during that Gala which I sang in NYC and received my Maria Callas Tribute Prize in 2019. The lovely lady to my left is star soprano Sumi Jo, who was also awarded that same evening. My lovely friend and exceptional italian pianist Sabrina Trojse was great musical and spiritual support that evening: a true partner on stage.

I am singing a recital in Italy, Pesaro on the 7th of August 2022, to help celebrate the Jubilee of the great Renata Tebaldi. This is a huge honor for me, as I have always loved her voice and her singing since the very beginning of my career. It is a joy to sing, with the exception of one French aria by Massenet, a purely italian program filled with the most gorgeous italian arias by Verdi, Puccini, Cilea and Rossini in the heart of Tebaldi’s home city, Pesaro.
